Brian, leave "Coilpanzer" alone. ;)
Here is my '72 T out at Pacific Raceways for the last PCA DE of the year. Bug splattered, rock chipped, but smilin' all the way.
Jeff, GREAT shot of the car on the track!!
I noticed the holes that were drilled in the front bumper. I presume that is for the oil cooler. I have noticed others use slits (gills) in the bumper for cooling.
I am thinking of doing the same. Have you noticed a "real" difference in temps??
Yup, there is a cooler hiding behind those holes; an Elephant Racing widemouth with their finned lines. It's hard to say if the holes helped a great deal. I ran a couple of DE's after I installed the cooler but before I cut the holes, and the car was running at 210-215 on a mid-90 degree day. After I cut the holes the ambient never got that high again, so I'll have to wait for next summer to really tell. With the holes, on 80-ish degree track days, it would never go much over 200 degrees; like about a needle's width.
I started out trying to cut the vertical slots, like on one of Waldegard's rally cars that I have seen in old photos. It turns out the fiberglass bumper was just way too dry of a chopper-gun or glass matt laminate, and it just shredded and fuzzed out even with an abrasive wheel in a die grinder. The hole were my desperate "thinking on my feet" recovery from a really ugly mess. Now they have kind of grown on me.
damn curt, that's really nice. what kind of finish is on that fan??? looks pewter-ish and awesome!Quote:

Curt, the Graywolf looks awesome! I cannot wait to see her in the "flesh." That engine looks just spectacular. Congrats on a job well done. Larry is the man!
To get this finish I (with a plastic or walnut media) beadblast the fan and shroud then matte clear coat them. Very nice job by the way Curt, your car is looking awesome!

It's not an S, it's not even a 911 ;-) But the hell with it, I like the picture and the lines ! And it's in better shape than my 73.5 made from two cars glued together ever was !
Good look'n 12 Greg... :)
... and some very cool planes....... ;)
Cheers,
Here is the new colour scheme (stripes, wheel centres etc) for my RS rep race car.
After putting 20k in sports purpose mods on my 71E I realized it was going to take about 40k more to prepare it for sports purpose.
So I sold it and bought this 73T with 3.6 Varioram, aluminum gearbox, 930 brakes, solid point suspension and welded 6 point cage.
Pics are from Sears 2 weeks ago and Miller's in September.
My wife hates me.

Earl,
How did you like driving MMP.
Phil
Pretty awesome. We were there for three days on the 4.5mi track. It took the whole first day before the turns started to look different. There are alot of straight sections of track. It just took awhile to remember where they were.
The facility is way over the top. They comp'd us a garage with 2 restrooms, A/C and heat with flat screen monitors in the corners. The PA has 4 channel speakers mounted on the light poles.
The garages line the front straight with covered seating on top. Binauculars would help. There were cars everywhere.
They also have a go cart and what looked like (from a distance) oval dirt track.
I'd go back!
R Gruppe #259
I agree facilities are absolutely top drawer and track(s) there are 4 configurations are all very deceptive, the turns are much faster than they appear as you approach them. Unfortunately I had melted down my race car motor earlier in season, hope to meet some of you gents next year.
Phil
Hosepower? :eek:Quote:

Hi guys. LONG TIME listener, first time caller. Hi to Curt Egerer, Roger Grago, Don Ahearn, Tom Bridgers and my buddy Dave “Cornpanzer” (aka Coilpanzer) Conklin.
Some of you may have seen my post on Pelican. I finally took pictures of my 911 (it only took me a year), and thought I’d share. It’s a 52,000 mile, one registered owner (prior to me) 1971 911T. The car was factory equipped with the following options: metallic silver paint, sunroof, S trim, S suspension, S brakes, S instruments, 5 speed and factory limited slip differential. It had one glass-out, high quality respray in the original color 25 years ago, and was hardly used since then. Harvey Weidman restored all 5 original 6x15 Fuchs, mounted with 5 period-correct Michelin 185x70 XWX tires (vintage rubber, baby!)
The car has an interesting history. The original owner (based in Pennsylvania) bought and arranged for delivery of the car through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery program in Stuttgart. It was purchased through Porsche racing legend, Al Holbert. He picked the car up in the spring of 1971 at the factory, and recalled the obsessive walk through the Porsche mechanic gave him for his car and its “proper” use. Being so heavily optioned, this was an expensive car, and he could have had a “basic” S. He wanted torque and reliability, however, and the S’s had a reputation for being fussy and not ideal for regular street use.
The owner, a large animal veterinarian, was on a 2 year residency fellowship in Switzerland, and drove the car to its new Swiss home. He used the car on weekends to storm the Swiss Alps. He remembers that the car was perfect in the Alps, and that he “Broke the engine in really well in those mountains.” After 2 years and 12,000 miles in the Alps, he moved back to his home in Pennsylvania, using the car on nice days to make his rounds to various farms.
Shortly after picking up the car, he installed an expensive (for the time) Blaupunkt Bamberg CR radio with rear speakers on the parcel shelf. This was a “cutting edge” tape cassette (not 8 track), and featured a microphone that allowed him to record his voice on tapes while driving. He would record his client chart entries on the drive back from the farms, handing the tape to his secretary for transcription back at the office.
Having some racing experience (he hillclimbed a factory 356 Speedster at the time with hillclimb gears, factory LSD, etc), he specified a rare factory limited slip differential for the 911 (as noted above). While the car was an occasional use street car, it did see a few autocrosses (see photo).
He had the car stripped to bare metal and repainted 25 years ago in the correct, 2-stage lacquer + clear coat metallic silver by a local shop that specialized in Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona’s. Absolutely no rust was found on the car during the repaint, nor is there any now. During the repaint he removed the front bumper guards, as he thought they took away from the car’s lines. The entire project took 2 years. The problem was that, after it was done, the car was too nice and he was afraid to drive it. It mostly sat in his garage, covering only 4,000 miles from 1977 to 2006.
To make matters worse, he had his factory hillclimb 356 Speedster restored to the same standard during that time. He was now left with 2 cars that he was afraid to use. He sold both cars in 2002 and bought a Formula Ford spec racer. He wanted something to drive where he wouldn’t worry about damaging it or getting chips. The 911 briefly spent time in two private collections, but was never registered or used prior to my purchase in 2005, buying it out of Don Ahearn’s collection. I was there shooting a car for an upcoming feature in Excellence and fell in love. (With the car, that is. I mean, Don’s a good guy, but even he can’t compete with this car ;-).
It had only covered 51,000 documented miles at the time. Aside from adding a pair of coco mats, the interior remains completely original, including the crack-free dash. The only maintenance (all documented) had been fluids, filter changes and tires. It was suffering from the “storage blues” from lack of use. I performed a full service (all the usual stuff, including changing the fluids, adjusting the valves, synchronizing the carbs, replacing the hand throttle, shifter and coupler bushings, replacing the plugs, wires, points, fuses, cleaning electrical connections, etc.) I also lowered the front 1 inch (to make it level) and had a professional 4 wheel alignment performed.
Driving this car is pure joy, and is the realization of a 20 year dream for me. I’ve been obsessed with early 911s as long as I can remember. I started attending Porsche Club Driver’s Ed events at Mosport nearly 20 years ago, and have lusted after a one-owner, preserved, silver sunroof since then.
Forgive my long windedness, but 20 years is a long time. I am one content dude.
John
Here's a shot of the radio, the original owner autocrossing the car, and the spare tire.
Welcome the board John...

I'll shut up now.
John, incredible story! very injoyable read, thanks for sharing, and congradulations on a special car:)
always wonder why these cars even with such low mileage and care ended up with resprays? does the single stage paint lend its self to requiring total resprays instead of touch ups? Were resprays just normal for the times? I recall that it was tough to match paint in those days especially metallic colors, often lighter or darker than original.
Many of these cars had paint checking problems. If you were from Socal, you were headed for a paint shop after 3-5 yrs. I bought my first 73T in summer of 76. It was Chuck Miller blue ( can't think of the official name) and it only had 26'000 miles. The roof and the front hood was completely checked. A friends' dad had the same car in red, and his hood was fading from the sun. Ray Charles Jr ( a frat brother ) had a gold metalic 73 T and his roof was beginning to check. Sign of the times Or coincidence ???
Just filled out my application yesterday. First week with the new car. She's just a lowly '73 T with MFI but for some strange reason I enjoy driving her more than my '84 or the wife's '96......
A few pics but a lot of work ahead...

John - I can't wait to see your car!
I finally picked up my car last weekend and the result is just incredible. There were some questions regarding the fan and housing - it was not bead-blasted. It was dipped in a degreaser used for transmissions, etc. and then coated with a penetrating oil. It looks really good; we'll see how it holds up. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves:

Wow Curt, you did go all out. She looks great. I am curious as to the make of your sway bars?
Nobody seems to know who's swaybars they are??? They've been on the car since the mid-70's.
I have the same front swaybar (19mm). I bought off of Ebay for about $30; The rear intrigues me as they might be a set? Hmm, interesting. Thanks, I will stay on the hunt.
Curt,
Look at this bud... I was in the same boat ...:o

Curt,
Looks great - VERY clean. I wish had that 2.5 L motor in my '71. I thought you were running aluminum Americans? Do you have a photo with those wheels on?
J
The AR wheels are going out to Harvey. I'm going to have him mill off a few mm's from the backs to bring them in slightly for more tire clearance and refinish them. They'll be back on in the spring.
thanks for the underside pictures Curt...looks super.
Ed
Those look like H&H bars to me. Beautiful car.
Phil
If Chuck and Phil say H&H, that's got to be it. I looked thru my receipts and they were installed by a Porsche dealer in 1978. Special Order Part Nr. 1444 - $49 for the rear; $69 for the front; $110 to install.
Thanks all, now I can sleep tonight..:) . Great car Curt, thanks for sharing it with us, I still have to find you a copy of The Italian Job...
See my other post for the details.
Opps, the pic didn't attach. The file is too big.
Here's my 73 911T that I finally got on the road this past spring. And I still have a lot more to go:)
Finally assembled and road worthy. Few more trim items to do but not before taking her out for a shake down cruise before the cold weather sets in.
Curt,
Where'd those come from....very cool.
Cheers! New Here. 1967 911S. All original and correct with 90K except for an excellent repaint some time ago(early eighties).

This is how I found my 68S a few years ago
Here it is now, back to original color and somewhat more correct
Thanks!. Aga Blue is correct. I will have to get a pic of radio for you. What are you looking for? I love the 4.5 Fuchs on all early SWB 911S(red 911S). I have an extra set of 5 for my '66 912. They would have been an option for the car in '67. So period correct they will be. I have a set of 165's for them too. The 911S has 185's on the original 4.5's.
Steve Var.
Hi Steve
Thanks for your pics. It is a stunning car you have. There is a 67s in the UK in aga blue owned by a friend of mine (pmjt on this board) and I am sure there will be pics somewhere on this thread. If not, there is a series of photos on the DDK site in the UK of his car under the members car section. It is an unrestored car with great patina and approx 40k miles from new.
I require a correct radio and rocker trims for my car if you can help. Hence my request for your photo.
Regards
Mike
Hi Steve,
SNAP! Here's my '66S - 305481S in Aga Blue and as Mike says believed 40,000 miles from new - she now has Hella's fitted as per yours.
Enjoy that beautiful car ;)

Those wipers do not appear to be parked correctly for a 67, is that because it is a RHD or adjusted that way?
Correct, RHD is the reason.Quote:

SUPER NICE!! Very rare also being a RHD. I love the leather shift boot. That's from the factory, correct? I have seen that in the books, some early cars had them. Your car did not come with the Hella128's? I have a 'new' set of Hella 128's for my 912 which are exact. The 67S ones are original with 40yr old tiny sandblasted pitts. I am going to get new lenses and keep the originals in a box. Post a pic of the engine of that Aga Blue RHD. I am redoing (mostly cosmetic) the 67S engine to look factory correct(mostly untouched since '67). I just did the 912(complete redo). Here is the S engine now(in the shop) and the 912's 616 before/finished.

Hi Steve,
Yes - it's original - the only thing I've done is recarpet her - but with a genuine roll from the factory (purchased in 1968 and I bought it at auction) so it's totally correct - other than that I just wish the previous owner hadn't cut into the door cards for speakers :eek:Quote:

I'll show you next time you're down here. My guess is this was something unique for the '67 MY, '66 manufactured 'S's - pictures of RHD and a LHD car (wearing US plates) - with wipers parked to the left..... curious

In the Brian Long book "Porsche 911 The Definitive History 1963 to 1971" on page 85 there appears a publicity shot in color of a 1967 RHD Targa with the wipers parked left. The only other RHD shown in the book is found on page 52an early 1965 clearly showing the wipers parked to the left. On page 51 a paragraph discusses the RHD cars and it states "the eagle-eyed would also notice that the silver windscreen wipers parked opposite side to continental machines" or to the left instead of to the right.
I hope this helps..

i love this car.
Ryan, if you get an opportunity, would you mind posting a picture of that exhaust system? It looks really cool.
will do - its pretty simple: short headers; two oval mufflers; and two tips
Here is my Olive colored '72, sitting on XWX's.

That's one bad lookin' '66! Please describe the motor.
Nasty nasty lookin ride there. Must be a scream on the track huh? :D
The motor is a mag cased 2.5 built by 'Heinz Peters' about 11 years ago. It's twin plugged, case/crank boat tailed, shuffle pinnned etc., oil system update's, crank fired, Carrillo steel rods, heavy head work, weber 40's and the rest I can't remember! I had the 2.5 built at the same time Heinz built me a 2 liter for vintage racing. I raced it and ran misc. track events and drivers ed for a few years and then parked it. My son thought he would like to race it last year so we updated the car and he raced an SCCA race in EP. At a drivers ed he was practicing and I 'assume' he went from 5th to 1st, the tattletail on the tack was pegged and one of the 2 liters aluminum rod's let go and that was the end of that. So I installed the 2.5 and he raced one more race this year before he decided rear engine short WB was not for him. He prefers imports of the Japanese variety. I have never tracked the car myself with the 2.5 but did make a few runs on a dragstrip with it this summer jut for the heck of it. Best time was 13.9 @ 102 MPH, that was with a J.O.S geared box. When I did drive it with the 2 liter it handled very very well. When I built the car I used a 71 225MM transaxle with a Quaife and installed 67S rear suspension for the vented rotors. Front was also upgraded with 71 S front suspension. Sorry I couldn't be more detailed on the 2.5. It was just to long ago to remember and paper work I have no idea where that would be.
Met up w/ my good friend Tom McMahon over the New Years weekend in
Tucson. Took some nice pics on a classic Southwest winter day.
Here are some shots of his gorgeous low-mileage 71 T.

Good luck in Maryland Tom, I'll miss our Tucson visits !
Thanks Chris,We are moving to Oxford,Md where sailing is more popular than Porsches,I suspect. No apologies are needed for that beautiful SC.Looking forward to meeting Porsche owners on the Eastern Shore. You are always welcome back here.It will be a big change from 8 years in the desert, but I grew up sailing ,so it is a welcome move.Enclosed is a pic of Oxford. The Inn across from our house was built in the 1600`s and our "new place" was built in 1870.Almost as old as I am. Cheers TFM
Yeah ... those Targas sure are ugly cars aren't they? :D
Tom - the car looks simply awesome (it looks like my twin ... before I pimped it out!). Those 185/70's look sooo good.
I love the car,but I admit that "Red Rules". I did take note of a few of your steps and added these air filters and the sport muffler, and briefly entertained redoing the interior in red,but the interior is completely original and came to my senses. Tom

Thought I would try something just a bit different with the wheels. I've seen a few all-black ones in the past, so I thought I would give them a try.

Jeff,
As I said Saturday, the black wheels are VERY cool, but what really makes that car is the perfect stance. Your car sits perfectly on its suspension with the fenders perfectly filled. Love it.
Jeff.....
your car looks dripped over those wheels.......very full.

Ah, but what have you replaced it with?

Very fair trade, but it's still no 911S. ;)

Marco,
Looks like a cool ride ! Twin plug? Albert Blue?
Andrew
Good for you. I had mine out for a quick blast in the 2nd week of Jan. here in Toronto. Hard to believe. (Sorry. No pics to prove it.) I got the tank down to half full and parked it thinking I'd top it up the next day. Didn't happen. The roads have been snow or salt covered ever since. I get so jealous when I see nice shots of people's cars parked in clean driveways in AZ or CA.
Marco,
That is a sweet looking engine.:) That should push the 'T' chassis around very well.:D Can't wait to see it done.
I would get gas in a gas can and fill the tank up and add Stabil to keep it fresh for the long winterQuote:

Welcome to you here from the DDK board. Very nice signal orange 911.:) Also great looking collection of other Porsches. Is that a 964RS?
Welcome Helen,
I see that you too carry the CPS illness...lovely cars...tell us more.

Gingerman and Waterford are on opposite ends of Michigan about 200 miles apart I would guess.

I live just south east of Niles Mi. 10 mi. off US 12 it takes me 1hr to tow 911 up there. I have not seen Jim Schrager's stuff. I have driven on tracks all over the midwest in the old days. I've been in PCA for over 25 years, President of Michiana Region twice in late80s. I do not do very much any more.

Hi, I just joined this forum after visiting and looking up info here already for ages.
I'm from Holland and the proud owner of a 911 2.4T coupe in "hell gelb" that was originally delivered in 1973 to its first owner in Italy. It's unrestored, original with matching numbers but does no longer have its original paint. (Colour is original though ;-)
Only pity is that one of the previous owners found it necessary to change the antenna into a Golf GTi type antenna.....:o
BillieNY5...tell us more!
patrick911...cool pic! (and nice car!)
They sure don't make those windmills like they used to.
beautiful shot. very very cool. thanksQuote:

Beautiful cars Andy. Please post the changes when you finish the black 2.8.
Do you have details on the 914-6?
Thanks,
Bert
Andy
Both are gorgeous. Don't change a thing on the T! Having said that, 935 mirrors would look good.
Who did the wheels?
The 914 would look great in Tangerine
Cheers

its a track car:rolleyes:
Andy, the black car is sweet!.......what are you changing?

After some months reading this interesting forum, I just wanted to say hello to everybody over here.
I'm a new member, my name is Andrea and I live near Como, Italy; my pre-bumper 911 is a 1973 2.4s, an excellent original car.

Stunning car A.
Good to see you on this forum. I look forward to seeing your car in person someday in Italy.
Did you get my last email about my RS? Eagerly awaiting any news. Thanks for your help so far.
All the best (love those seats)

After many months of rustoration pain, here are some pics of my achievements.
Breifly,a partial strip was done and the shell was found to be corrosion free except for the usual sunroof drain hole blockage problems.
The doors were thrown away due to excess filler and not enough door ,and the fenders were not repairable as they were warped due to excessive heat used in the previous round of repairs twenty years ago.:(
The floor pan, front suspension pan and sills were in very good condition and needed no attention.
Production number was found to be correct.
Wheels, instruments and seats were renovated / freshened up as required and the 914 / 6 wheel was re leathered.
Thanks to Rudy van der Vecht for the houndstooth material,Andy Boyle for the steering wheel and Autobahn Interiors for the perforated leatherettes.
Now to drive the wheels off it for the next ten years !!:D
Cheers,
Dennis.:)
Pics were too big !
pics not working !
Dennis,
Everything looks great, but you put the steering wheel on the wrong side:p
Gorgeous car, nice work !
Dennis,
Congratulations, you have a great looking Early S! RHD, 2.2S cars have to be pretty rare. Those houndstooth sport seats look fantastic. Agreed, now is the time to enjoy it and drive the wheels off.:)
Thanks for the compliments chaps !
Chris - the reason for placing the steering wheel on the right was to follow the example of old professor Ferdinand Porsche who built his first cars - the Lohner Porsches - with such an arrangement ! :D :D
Brian - my car was a UK delivery - one of 44 for the '71 MY.
Here in Australia there were only 12 delivered in that time !
Cheers,
Dennis.:)
From the recent Austin Hill Country Early 911S and RGruppe event. Some of the small single lane roads were just like England. Car's looking and running pretty good Eade :D
Hello from France. I'm new on this forum and here's a pic of my ride : a 1971 2.2s.
http://perso.club-internet.fr/froux/...I_helmut28.jpg
Roxy, nice shot. I was in your country a couple of weeks ago and saw a real lack of early and impact bumper 911s ('65-'89). I did see a handfull of 996s in Paris and Monaco, but not many. The only early car I saw was a '74 914 in Amboise. Glad to see there are still some classics!
Well, maybe Paris and Monaco are more 997 oriented these days...but in the country you can still spot some older cars. Next month, with our club, we'll be doing a 3 days classic 911 meet, i'll post some other pictures after that.
http://perso.club-internet.fr/froux/...e/CI_yena5.jpg
Roxy,
A nice line up you have there !
I did a tourist delivery of a 911 S in 1974 and was always surprised at the number of French 911s with the Cibie / Marchal lights option, either two or four.
More pics from France,pls !!:D
Cheers,
Dennis.:)
Ok, so here's another one from the same day. You can even see a french flag in the back !;) http://perso.club-internet.fr/froux/...ulcefrance.jpg
Yes those cibié lights are very popular here. The standard light power of the 911s being a little weak. You could find the same cibiés on early citroên DS, and they are are very sought after during swap meets.
http://perso.club-internet.fr/froux/...I_enroute3.jpg
Hopefully I uploaded these pictures correctly.:) Steering wheel is a Porsche Design by MOMO. Don't know if it is period correct but I like it.
Just a couple more photos. Another beautiful day in California.
Stan
A few updated photos of my 71 Targa:
Hey Curt whats up with the 73? in the foreground? I thought the Audi was going to be it for this year.
Regards, Bill B.

Hey, it's only 1/2 OT...
Bill - the white car? That's just some POS taking up floor space in my garage.
Curt, I see the wheels are done! You found the washers and lug nuts you needed? When did you get the roll bar?
TRE is making early-style roll bars for the Targa. They've got a provision to weld a tab on that attaches to the upper shoulder belt mount on the factory Targa-bar that really triangulates/stiffens the rear of the car. I saw one at SLO and ordered it on the spot. Yeah, the AR's are on but I'm still f'ing around with tire sizes to get something that doesn't rub!
Nice to see the German cars get to stay inside & the British tanks stay outside :DQuote:

Greg,
Great looking 2002 and it's orange, a real plus in my book!:D Makes me wish I had hung onto the '72 "02" I had several years ago. These cars drive like a go cart.
Brian - the surgery was successfully completed at 10:23PM. The patient is resting comfortably. I'll bring my drill to the Taj in case you need holes.

Juan,
Had a great time!
I also have a small trophy that was awarded to you/your 911
after you left.
I can drop it off at your office this week.
Email or PM me.
looks like a bunch of jelly beans to me.
It'd hard to pick one.

Very cool! How about some more pics and the yellow one behind it. Love the mesh grill.
'71 911t :)
jtkkz,
Nice photos. I noticed you sell the horn and engine mesh grill covers. I will be interested in buying those in the near future (need a job first). My 69S is posted on page 94.
My new addition for resto, 67 911S. Engine out for rebuild. Much work to do. Barn find with some rust. If you know of great places for parts from electrical to interior, send me a note. Needs everything, particularly electrical.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and thier 911 as much as I am. This was sunrise at a DE at Mosport a couple weeks ago. Exit to turn 10 and the start/finish in the background. It was a great weekend.
A.T.,
That is a very, very nice shot of your 911!
Good work.
Hell'of'a picture A.T. ...... ;)
Cheers,
AT,
Is it Signal Yellow, Bahama Yellow or my guess, Gold Metallic? Sometimes, depending on the light and photo it is hard to tell these colors apart.
Beautiful car / very nice photo!
1972 911t gemini blue.2.4 mfi
Hey thanks, guys. I was so "gung ho" to get to my first DE this season I was 45 minutes early. I had to kill some time. I couldn't believe the gate to the track was open though. What a temptation!
The car is Bahama Yellow. Yes, can look very different depending on the light.
hi i'm new to this forum.
an awe inspiring thread. (a LOT of beautiful cars).
heres some pics of my stock swb. It needs a fresh lick of paint though.
Excellent first post Paul!
Here's a snapshot of the new/old wheel treatment on my daily driver, parts and grocery getter. The spokes are raw.
A.T......... Round up the boys tomorrow and come on down for the "Bug-In" at Firemen's Park in Niagara Falls. Take QEW to Mountain Rd exit...go over Qew and down on left a couple miles is the park. I had a small hand in helping build up a buggy for this event and it will be there. I'm taking my 911 in just to help the 4 cyl friends visualize what some viagra could do to their bugs....lmao! If a bunch come down I'll toss an impromptu bbq at my place. Bring swim stuff to cool off. :D
ps...Jens ol bean...good to hear from you!
Not exactly Band Camp, but my summer vacation is looking up.

I hope to have her on the road by the end of July.
Best Regards,
Sumner
Wow! Amazing transformation.
All the credit goes to SpeedWerks in NC and to Rob at dC Automotive for not cutting her up. (and giving me free range to his warehouse (s) to look for parts)
Dave & his crew (SpeedWerks) have done some great work to bring her back. I only needed to spend all of my free time looking for the parts.
I'll post some really ugly photos of the rust when I recover them from the RAID on my burnt workstation  .
Sumner
Hey Sumner,
Wow she looks great ! I see you've been busy.
All the best. Juan
Looks great! I knew I recognized that shop, I've spent a good amout of time at Speedwerks. What's Dave doing to your motor? He did a top end rebuild on my 2.4 in '05 with new cams and high compression pistons. A very stong motor! I'll have to stop in and check out that slate gray, great color.Quote:

85mm P/C with 2.4 L Heads machined to match the Webers. You'd have to ask him what cams he is using. Those are the only thing I didn't provide along with the 85mm pistons.
They also rebuilt the the 901, Since the GA was already there: B, GA, M, S, X.
They are a great group.
If they have the sandrail still there, it's a treat.
