The Frozen Tundra of Titletown actually extends south for some 95 miles. I am able to get by with the non-insulated version of a cheesehead hat. The trim is standard fare for a "Short" '68 S.Quote:

Chris,
That stainless muffler shines nicely. I had a 69E a few years ago and always enjoyed the smooth ride. The 2.2E I expect is even nicer. It's only 5hp away from the power of the early 2.0S, just not as peaky. I like peaky-ness though...
1972 911S with PO for the last 20 years, under 95,000 km, no rust, Italian delivery car (great horn), COA is marked 'Italy Equipment" as Option. I am sure this includes the special horn, but the driver side mirror is also different, and is Italian, so I am not sure if it came from the factory or dealer with the mirror. :)
here's my pretty stock '71 E, PO put a 915 in it.

Nice car. My RS is originally Italian delivered and I was wondering about the horn too. What does your unit look like? Any chance of a pic. Is your mirror the larger square type not usually available until later (73?). Does your car have a hazard warning switch?
Regards
I know one thing guys, i have seen several 911 in Italy and they usually modify something, so you cant always tell if thats the way they where sent there like that.
The RS looks stunning!
Stunning !
Is that the orig. paint ! ?
John
Thanks John,Platas
Originally chartreuse but repainted black by the second owner in 1975 reportedly by the factory but I am still digging to try to confirm this (would the factory still hold records for such a job?). Not repainted since and I am 99.99% sure still all original panels including rockers. Original interior including carpet and in such good condition I am tempted to believe the 40kilom. may be original but no Italian history as yet but still digging on that too. Any Italian members here who could help?
