Milou :
Astounding news regarding your Primo collection. It has been beyond fun for us in following your posts regarding your finds, and learning all the treasure that was available through the years. Thanks for sharing your trove, and inspiring us collectors and lovers of all things Porsche, to continue the pursuit with integrity and zeal as you have done. And, BEST wishes with the upcoming May event. I am adding your catalogue as the first of your fine collection to my own, and hope to obtain a few lucky bids in May ! Thanks !

My buddy Chris Messano is the present keeper of Bert Ohlander's SCCA B/SR 910 tail... #032 (was a VERY winning spyder in the 'old country' and here, and now a restored coupe)
Oh, and Bert's '71 Regional Championship cup came with it......... ;)
By the way, Bert was the sales manager at Circle Porsche when our own Mike Hammond, working for Circle, sold my car to it's original owner in June of '73... :)
........ and so it goes
What do we think of this? It was found with factory posters 1960-1967 from a former Porsche dealership employee. I'm thinking wallpaper?
It's sized 39x29. It kinda reminds me of the 356 brochure also pictured below.

This actual model is available at Collector Studio in Toronto. No price listed :D
From the eMail: "This was made by the factory at the hands of Chief Designer Karl Rabe and given as a gift from Ferdinand Porsche to his son ‘Butzi’ (Ferdinand Alexander) Porsche in 1948."

I'm wondering if the Porsche family knows its for sale ?
I would think it would make a quick trip back to its first owner , if the right call was made......but........how did it escape the hands of Butzi at the outset of its travel here to America ?
Morry at Collector Studio comes up with some amazing stuff. I don't know where he gets it all. Collectorstudio.com
Fellow Collectors: When I first heard a few days ago of Milou's decision to sell his memorabilia collection I was shocked and surprised. But upon further reflection I think I understand it very well. I have been collecting Porsche memorabilia and rare parts for nearly 30 years and know the frustrations of suddenly having limited space to display all you have accumulated at great effort & expense. Anyone that read the story of Milou's building his dream Porsche garage in Switzerland http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...Garage....will realize his dilemma now that he has moved to Paris, where that kind of space suitable to display his vast collection is impossible to find in a normal apartment building or even in a typical suburban home in the banliues!
I have met Milou in person. He has been to my home in Carmel. I would like to think that at my 61 years of age it is easier to take a measure of a man. He is a collector, pure & simple, and does it for the love of his hobby. In the Porsche world, we would simply call it 'Liebe zu Ihm'. Interestingly, we attended the same college in Philadelphia, although a generation apart! We all will face what to do with our collections at some point in the future before we pass away. I have already executed part of my plan. I opted to sell most of my vintage Porsche autos before I bid farewell to my rare Porsche parts and memorabilia. But that is a personal decision we all need to make and I hope none of you in this forum hold it against Milou for how he has decided to handle it. My guess is that he is going to dearly miss this wonderful world of memorabilia and soon will pick up a few items here & there to place in his office or den at home. Once in your system, this bug is hard to get rid off, as you all know. And I would be surprised if we don't see him from time to time at the LA Lit Meet or the fabulous Historics week in August here in Carmel. He is an asset to this hobby community and we should encourage him to keep active in our forum past his auction in May. So good luck, Milou, and keep in touch!
I also think this is an epic thread that should be continued. I spent three hours last night reading through each of these posts, 79 pages and over 90,000 views! It was incredible reading & viewing! You can see the appeal of this thread to a larger audience in our community if they could easily find it. Thus, I am suggesting to moderator & great contributor Chuck Miller that he makes it into a 'Sticky' at the top of the page. Let us know if others would like to see that too! It is also a reminder why I should sign up again as a paid member of this forum to help keep it up & running and continue to provide a valuable information service to our hobby!
Saludos, Eduardo (Carmel)
PS I have included some photos from my memorabilia garage in Colorado. Over the summer, when I get back to Vail Valley, I will have more time to photograph individual items and post them here. I mostly have vintage rallye plates and trophies at my other home here in Carmel...plus a rented storage space full of Porsche parts, mostly 356! There are still many collectors I know out there with incredible pieces of Porsche memorabilia that might be interested in posting here...if only they only KNEW of this thread's existence! That is why I hope the continuation of these epic postings as a 'Sticky' at this forum will allow more of us to contribute to a valuable & growing base of knowledge on this rare Porsche memorabilia that has survived to the present!
Eduardo,
What can I say to that... a huge thank you!
I remember well our coffee together at your Carmel house in August 2010: great house, wonderful showroom, fantastic 911:), and even a beautiful nearby beach:

It was on the last day of that trip that I purchased the 1966 912:
