That car (0001) is / or at least was owned by Feustel as shown in the article in the link you gave to 9tro.com and at least at that stage has the plates S T 5704 back on it

I always have believed that after being used by the factory (as a recce car and possibly a test car after the 1970 Monte Carlo) it was sold and ended up in the UK initially registered as 251LP at the Porsche dealership at Denham and then as PMO220 for John Sprinzel in the RAC Welsh rally of 1972 - his last rally where he retired the car (and possibly others earlier). At that stage it still was Tangerine as used by the Werks team

Therefore I dont think it was the orange car shown as #75 in 1973 (D ED 71) OR WZ-JW 1 but without knowing the identity of those cars I cannot be certain

What wheels were used on the early rally cars? Did they use 904 wheels or all steel wheels? I`ve got a couple 904 wheels and would like to find a home for them, I can`t use them.

I found these pictures of UL-Y 826 on Motorsport Images and wanted to add them to your thread. I am assuming they include pictures of the car before the 1968 East African Safari as well as a shot during the rally.

Other cars pictured include a right hand drive 911 with a plate KKZ733 and a right hand drive 356. One picture also includes a blue 550A.

Interesting appearance by a Kenyan-registered early 911 above. Do we know any more about KKZ733 or any other early RHD cars that found their way to that country? I am aware of Bantam's 911 TR, but it starts to look as if there might have been others. Thanks, Robert
