Hello, does anybody have seen the RS With VIN 9113600064 as an offering in the past? Does anybody know details about the history? Apparently there is more than one car with the same VIN in Europe.

agree fonts on engine appear to be incorrect as are the stampings on the aluminium vin plate but chassis stamping seems fine

In the current ownership for the past 10 years, the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 has been serviced and detailed as needed, and exercised on vintage car rallies such as the Copperstate 1000 and Going To The Sun. The car is naturally listed in the well-known book on the model, Carrera RS by Dr. Thomas Gruber and Dr. Georg Konradsheim.
1446 is offered with a set of tools and the Porsche-issued Certificate of Authenticity . . .'

Yes, I'm with Hugh and Jeff. The engine serial number is not original for 1446. Neither is the engine serial number of RS 440. The chassis VIN and production number are authentic and correct for 440.

Then they follow with statements like "1446 was completed much as it appears today" and "over to Great Britain where it is believed to have been owned by"... and "but is believed to have left 1446 in the UK, where it is said to have received a restoration in the mid-1990s."
If this is provenance....
My understanding is that the "real" engine for #0440 (6620430) is (or was in 2012) in RS #1210 which was sold at Mecum at Monterrey in August 2012 with the following comments "Following a full concourse restoration by renowned Porsche experts Zimmermann and Winkler & Ehlert, Germany, the correct RS 2.7 L engine #6630430 was provided by RUF Germany."Quote:
