It is not matching because it is a 73 2.4 E engine, with (what looks to be) a re-stamped pump and 69 TBs and stacks. Looks like it was built with parts from a number of years. Wonder what is inside? Seller should be more specific about the "non matching engine". The ad is truthful as it is posted, but it could certainly be clearer as it relates to the engine. How about just telling potential buyers exactly what the engine is? Wouldn't be to difficult to list a serial number with the ad.

And I got it one piece at a time.
The description is limited due to the fact there are many aspects of this car that bear further discussion. I can provide additional photos and information regarding specific requests. To go through and describe the whole car would take some space. This car has good ‘bones’ and has the potential to be a remarkable 1972 911S. The original color of Glacier Blue is not too common and a great color. This car is worth the effort to come, see and inspect. It can be summed up as a 1980’s version of a 911 hot rod with early performance parts. There are records of the work done on the car from 1987 to 1997 by Dave Whites Autosports of Tampa Florida. The term Franken engine has been used, which is a fair assessment. Because it is a culmination of many non-matching parts it is difficult to even call it a 73 E engine.
