Glad you are joining us Mark! Your #300839 sounds like a lucky find! It looks like cars leaving in May 65 had 5 or 6 pleats what ever was available.

Don’t know when I why (with the introduction of the adjustable struts?). Just another change

Richard,
nice touch using the straight edge background, it helps emphasize the straight compared to the curve of the arm.
It looks like the curved allowed for having more space to complete the weld during manufacturing.
More details.
Thank you.
Fuel door catch. No hole at start. MY 66?

Hi guys,
Every time I come back to this great thread I spend much time browsing through the pages to find the most actual excel-sheet with all the collected differences and information. Maybe I've missed something or don't know how to do it, but wouldn't it much more convinient for all to have a link (e.g. on the first page) to a "central document" where all information is collected? Thanks for your appreciated input.
Found a tiny, but nice little detail on my 2/65 car:
Fresh air flap has different holes at the white axel-holder :)
Left is a new reproduction, middle is from a 67 car and right is my 65

I've spent the last year bringing the 911 back to life. Thank you to all who have contributed to this thread. My car #300839 will be shown at Ameilia Island Werks Reunion next weekend finally. Last year mechanical failures caused me to cancel my trip with the '65 and drove my 2007 Carrera instead. After checking all of the details of differences in first 1000 911's I haven't been able to find out how many pre-301000 cars are accounted for on the registry. Is there a current list ? I think mine is the only one with Blue interior and carpet Attachment 612920 Attachment 612921
The most recent Early 911S Roster I have (20 August 2022) shows 33 cars between 300025 and 300990. Two are light ivory, one (3000839) is listed as "White-grey."
Is there a posting of the 33 that are listed? Seems hard to believe [I'm surprised] that only 33 have survived, unless some are still out there unaccounted for.
