That is a Webasto gasoline heater located in the "smuggler's box" in the front luggage compartment. THe number is the seriel number of your particular Webasto. These heaters were standard in the 1967 911S but, I believe, are listed on the Kardex to record the seriel number of the heater. Thanks.

Can anyone else confirm these were standard fit to all '67 S's even to the hot states ?

In case you don't have a Kardex for your car yet, I can deliver a hi-res copy for all Porsches up to end 1969, also 912 and 356.
