Curt- What an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it.
What is it about our dogs- Part of our pack.
Great story Curt, it was meant to be!
Great story Curt....talk about "it's meant to be"....we're on our 4th rescue(is there any better way?)...always boxers.
This one was returned twice after being adopted by other families and after a week of bringing her home I knew why...she settled in after that and has been with us for the last 2 years...a great companion...doing what she does best :)
GREAT story and outcome Curt.........

My "son" Kittums Roher, a silver Egyptian Mau. He was the best cat anyone could have ever asked for. Always waiting by the door for us when we got home, super affectionate and just an all around great cat! The best cat I've ever owned, I miss the little guy...
Nearly a year ago we lost our dog Hunter, who was a huge part of our lives. We finally decided to bring a new dog into our home.... Somewhere in that tangle of puppies is our next family member. They are Italian Spinones..... Looking forward to the trip to West Virginia to pick him up in mid-July!

Thanks for the positive thoughts guys! It's been quite a week. Hugh - I've never been brave enough to let one of my dogs in my Porsche, but he looks pretty darn mellow
Keep the dog pics coming ....
Here's another of Smokey ;)

That is very cool! Nina just read it over my shoulder and her comment is "that is so heartwarming" - of course she is a real dog sap. :D
We finally broke down, almost a year and a half after we lost our good old 14 year old Lab May, and got a rescue dog (Nina insisted) 3 weeks ago. Mitsa's a 13 month old Flat Coated Retriever/Border Collie, and given the possibilities, very laid back. Although she does try to make sure her new herd stays in order. I'll have to get a picture soon.
Glad your "new" pup found her family. ;)
