That sounds like the kind of car that deserves the mega 'T' money we were seeing some original examples go for this summer. I bet a flipper buys it here in the off season and holds it until May for profit.
Haven't seen an early Sand Beige SWB car.
Here's my '68, picture taken at a local park as I prepared to put the car away from the winter. It's not an S...not even an L...just a standard coupe. And outside of some rust repair and repaint in the original color, I've tried to keep it as it was originally delivered.

the 3rd time was not the charm.. solex lit up in beaver, ut. luckily i had halon to save the day, and was able to limp to las vegas where a friend had a spare solex waiting.

Great photos! I like that color, maybe I will have...oh yeah I do have a burgundy car. Those burned picts are perfect for those who STILL do not carry fire extinguishers in the cabin at all times.
