It sure looks like a car I used to own.
Somebody in the midwest had it last if it's the same car.

Car belongs to one of our board members.
It's got an R Gruppe badge on the grill in the photos.
wonder how much $?
OMG that is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen......
You know it's really a crazy world we live in.
I was thinking that I would gladly trade my '88 minty 930S (M505) for this car. It's got only 47K miles and is near perfect. The car was well over $100K when new whereas this S was probably around 1/10th of that when it was new.
Yet today to close the deal I'd still have to bring a bundle of cash to the table.....
I notice that the paint code plate was removed. Wonder what the story is there if the car was not re-painted. I assume the plate was placed after factory paint so there should be a nice square patch right?
This is THE car; these are my photos and others I've gleaned hither and yon.
2 owners after me I "heard through the grapevine" that the Paterak Brothers did some work on the doors. For what reason I do not know.
IF the right front fender isn't rubbed through on the edge it's been painted.
The car was ALL original paint when I had it. There were numerous rub-throughs. The front end should have been sprayed but I suppose that original is original but once.
One owner was Pete Bartelli (2x I believe). A broker had it a couple of times, G&W too and it sat on the lot at The Stable for nearly a year.
It was a hell of a nice car and ran like a wailing banshee. 3rd synchro was worn before and after me but slowed shifts took care of that.
The mileage should be real.
