would you please post how you came up with the fact that engine should be in France?
Any hit would help a lot to narrow down the search... Name, area date anything.
Plus, giving some informations about the engine type and year....

Car missing engine is a 1970 911 S needing a 2.2 S engine.
Why France? Why not...I have looked everywhere else.
Rumored to have escaped to southern France years ago to escape the US political scene...come to think of it, not a bad idea! :cool:
I too am missing my engine! Last known in the South of France ,engine number 907117 / 901/01 1966 2 litre
