in the mail already!
Just entered too and I dont even have a car yet !
Just put the letter into a post box on Victoria street.
still saying coming soon on vhrr site.
should i be looking somewhere else?
Speak to Curnick as he will have a spare from the entry form he received. Mine is at home otherwise I would have scanned it for you.
For those without an entry :)
Entered. I promise to be faster this year !
A video of PI resurfacing, I think the historic will be the first race on the new surface.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=...type=2&theater
Begg, based on the video, you will be quicker!
The track is faster
3 90 Porsche Club Sven Burchartz (1) 911 Carrera 2.8 M1 S6 1:50.9020
4 37 Porsche Club Rohan Little (2) 911 Carrera 2.7 M1 S2 1:51.8846
group S front runner will be sub 1:50
Did Sven just dob himself in that he is running 2.8?
Apparently Rusty was doing 1.47's in the Pantera during the week!
Should be interesting once the track grips up with some decent rubber.
True! Forgot about the overbore capacity being 1.5 and not 1.
Alex,
I will be on the track with you blokes on Sunday.
Am I safe around AB & RC ? or should I stay well clear ?
Sadly, I have today withdrawn - rehab going much slower than hoped. Very frustrated, annoyed etc etc.
I'm hoping to come down anyway and kick tyres.
Has anyone seen the actual split in terms of entrants for Group S on Sunday? Event schedule says Group S Division 1 and Division 2, not under and over 2 litres.
Rob
On Sat we are with the earlier lower capacity cars, Sa/Sb, but on Sunday will be making up the numbers at the back with the BIG Bangers!
Oh well at least we can play together on the same grid :)
RC hope you get better soon.
Alex, we won't be on the same grid.
Basically
Div1: Sac, Sba, Sbb and Sca
Div2: Sbc, SBd, Scb, Scc, Scd
Thanks Hung.
My goal was to run at Wakefield this weekend, then it was PI, and now its Rennsport...
That is what I thought Hung after I re read the running sheet.
Bugger!
Oh well we will have to play with the Taylors and keep them honest!!
Ok interstaters, who going ??
John F ?
John S ?
Justin ?
anyone else coming down ??
:(
50% less bullshit will be spoken.... No Forcier !
Watch the scibs fall too ??
Just psyching myself up for next week.
FYI, most of the Porkers were in front of this pack.

You could be there too!
No Fishie
No Scribs
I'm disappointed in you both. Room of mirrors time...
I may not be racing - but I'm still coming.
Avoiding that pesky driving stuff will give me much more time to give you all useless setup tips.
John,
How do you sack yourself?
Well Tim, it's more a case of reemploying myself.
Got a builder on site back in October. Started off well, but started to fade after a while...so it's back to me.
Let's hope I don't have to sack myself!
We'll have our ManTime in May...
John are you coming down for Mardi Gras after Paul Kelly tonight ??
Let me know where you're performing Andy and I'll find you...
So how was Mardi Gras chaps?
I was thinking about making a last minute dash but now have a business meeting next weekend :(
Fred Nile along with God made it rain again!
I know I'm going to really suffer withdrawals now.
Hi guys,
for those heading down to the Island we will be down the same spot (we hope!) as last year. Look for the red tents.
Please come and say hello and make yourself welcome and known in the best viewing spot!!
901'ers will include myself, Tom Walstab and Andrew 'Tiger' Begg. Ryan Curnick will also be there but without a car.
Taylor's will be there along with some other Sc 911's, and Tim Lynas is using our yellow 356 (CRC), so all up should be a nice Porsche corner.
Should be a great weekend of racing :)
Very sad I won't be there this year... Good luck to all!
Livery for 2013 complete :) Bring on the Island!
Like the new livery.
Hung, I thought you were not going - if you are you are ALWAYS welcome - you know that :)
We DO expect lots of pics.......
Now this track is fun!
Great weekend had by all. Very hot though!
Races are now being uploaded to YouTube... www.youtube.com/aewebster
Enjoy :)
Race 1: cold tyres and the thought of passing Mr N Taylor had the better of me :(

You should see the footage from inside Nick's car! He is posting on YouTube soon :)
a few pictures - more to follow.
And yes the Chesterfield car is that car - a very significant Australian racing Porsche, whose restoration was completed last December. It sounded wonderful with megaphones!
Another instalment.
Nice photos Justin! Any of the interior of the Chesterfield car?
and some more - specifically of the 81 LeMans winning 936.... just fresh from a museum restoration. Probably my favourite car from the meeting.
Also of interest was member Terry Lawlor's new Sierra Cosworth (an ex Bond Caltex car) just 0.3 off Mark Skaife in an r31 Skyline ( the 2wd car just prior to Godzilla).
Re the interior Cam - no. I had a good look at it though. It was fairly standard, 911R style Momo wheel, race bucket and small passenger seat trimmed in houndstooth.
For those wanting the video the Race 4 antics - head here .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Trd8xZLCqE
Wanting to see what a close call looks like? Have a look at this video from inside Nick Taylor's 3 litre Carrera coming over Lukey heights in race 1!

Excellent!
That was "inches" close !....
Missed it by.......that much!
Whoa..............
That all looks a little familiar - why is it always Nick?

OK, in fairness, here is one of mine...

Nick an I took months to choreograph that move.
Hung was much easier to work with compared to Stuart in 2008 - check this one out, I must be a magnet.

Hung I think it would have been polite to indicate !
Nick,
Its time for a colour change.....it just might help!
Or enter Group A & C
Hi,
just a few photo's of Nick Taylor spinning out.Caught me by surprise it was on the warm up lap.The photo's tell the story.Even on the third photo you can see petrol running out.If you look closely.the other photo's are of a few porsches.

Nice photos Dennis, I've uploaded some of my car that you took.
Now I can see why Hung spun, look at all the fuel coming out of Nicks car in photo 2 !
Anyone know anything about the red ST above?
Wayne's old green car, work done by zags I believe.
Great pics Dennis - sorry we did not get to see you whilst you were down. :)
Nick - you definately did not win the fuel economy run for the weekend!!!!
I LOVE the civic - nice find Andy.
Economy was down... race tape held my fuel cap on for the remainder of the weekend. Good shots - was first lap of the first practice session, certainly took me by surprise - and the guys behind.
Owned by Russell Nordson (sp?), the guy that built the Laucke Flour 3.0RS rep some years back. Saw it at Wakefield, has a 3.6 in the back.
Not my find Nick, RC has been looking..... I know he wants to buy it !
Correct - the car is Russell Nordens. It was completed last year, and done the right way.
Russell is very handy behind the wheel - so much so he won the FF driver to Europe back in the day I believe. He is fast, smooth, fluid. I can recall getting out of the car at Wakefield and thinking to myself I'm not worthy!
Wonderful pics Dennis - from some great angles - I particularly like the ones going up into Lukey
Hi,
thanks Justin.Always trying different angles because I'm on the outside of the fence. Are you going to wakefield on the 6th April. The red porsche on the grass is a nsw porsche car club member.there is about another 3-4 photo's between the one's we are showing.didn't loose much speed.I think Alex would have been looking carefully.the last photo is not a porsche. But as you can see in the photo he does give it ago.

The red 911 is mine and I had got a bit loose coming out of the corner. Leaving my foot into it was the best option at the time.
I am a member of PCNSW. First time I've ever be to PI , wow what a track. Improved my lap time by 14 seconds over the weekend
Michael
Hi micheal,
I was the guy talking to you early in the morning on the last day.You had a couple of young fellows helping you with the car.
Thought you might like to see this photo.
DennisAttachment 244750
Thanks for those pics Dennis. Was good to meet you
Michael
Nice wheels Walko - got some more pics with them on?
Hi John,
I do but since I have changed the family from pc to Apple products have been unable to load pics on any forum. Still trying to work it out
Are you going to come out to Morgan Park in April ?
Michael
Just saw this little bit of U.S. ink on Andy B in my latest Vintage Motorsport .......... ;)
Cheers mate
Nice work Chuck, thanks for posting it.
John, with you ..... We'll be racing for Walko at Rennsport.
