I am pretty sure it will be in or around Glendora CA however if booking a hotel make sure the cancellation policy allows time to make a change.

so glad it is back local!
I would love to see Luft 8 in ROW DTLA. Plenty of parking and such a cool place to display cars take photos.

Hoping to drive my barn(garage) find to this !
@ Il Pirata - I used to live in Glendora....what spot were you thinking it might be held at?
If it is in Glendora I assume it would be downtown like the big Flashback Classic car show.
well, within minutes of getting the email for tickets i was adding them to my cart and got an error message. went back out to try again and got the message that the event had sold out :( wow - literally within minutes.
update - i tried a couple more times and was able to get tickets! site must have been overloaded! woohoo!
Event Location: 112 E 22nd Street, San Pedro CA 90731

Same as Luft 4. What a bummer, that was the worst location of them all.
It will be a $100 day with parking and eats to look at cars. $200 to show your car. getting steep
We have 1 early entry ticket available, at face value $117 (they charge some ‘Advance booking fee’).
Anyone interested can PM.
I just registered my car. I filled out the form kind of as a joke, thinking there is not a chance my car would be accepted. Guess I'm making a road trip to SoCal in a month. Hope it doesn't snow early in the Rockies.
Hey Chris are you trailering the car out? We are trailering the 993 from Louisville leaving October 6th with a stop in St. George that night if you wanted to caravan. We cruise at 75 on the flats, slower on the hills.
I’ll PM my phone number.
I would like to purchase 1 more ticket if anyone has an extra or cannot make it let me know.
Thanks,
Philip
71 Irish Green 2.8L car I built will be on display. Let me know how it looks.

See you guys in a couple weeks. :)
Looking for 1 ticket if anyone has a spare floating around. Will pay not looking for freebie.
Thank you all in advance.

SOLD. I now have 2 extra tickets. Early entry. Asking my cost, $117 each. As I got these through another person no t-shirts included.
Speaking of T-shirts, has anyone gotten theirs yet?
I have a spare ticket.
andy
I've got one Luft 8 ticket with XL t-shirt.
Ticket is PDF, could pass the shirt off at the event.
$105.

I may be interested in this. I have a regular admission ticket that I want to sell in place of getting an early admission ticket for my passenger.
A small piece of the 1970 LM24 hr. will make it's reveal, after many moons of being a recluse. Make sure not to miss #40 Sonauto at Lüft 8.
Saturday morning maybe 5 AM ish I'll leave Carpinteria and head toward South Bay to check out where I grew up and probably spend a little some time in Costa Mesa. That afternoon sometime I'll head to the Long Beach Marriott where I'll spend the night before LUF8. If any of you are gathering somewhere in the area on Saturday, I'd like to attend.
All cleaned up and ready for a 2500 mile road trip. 1100 miles later there a lot of dead bugs to clean up.
PM me and give me a way to text or call if any of that works for you.
Thanks everyone.
DM me if you have a spare ticket. Thx!
Looking for a spare ticket for a buddy that came into town.
Thanks,
Erich
Luft 8 pictures below. Was my first Luft and enjoyed displaying my RS. Some other great cars there, some with rare paint colors. Huge turn out with thousands of people coming through. Location was not great... felt like a huge Cars and Coffee (most of the show just in a poorly paved parking lot). But it was great to meet a lot of enthusiasts and see some old friends.

Since I'm crazy nuts for '73 RS's (and RSR's), this was the one I was drooling over. I've had a poster of this car since college, dragging it around for the last 50 years, now on the wall in my garage (last image).

Is that the real deal or a (very, very good) replica?
Because the '59' I have seen in the past had the racing FT3 fuel cell with the two openings in the hood - like the car in the poster.
regardless though, it's an awesome car!

Hard to say without confirming the chassis number, 9113600328, as the winning vehicle. In their active racing career, these cars probably saw many alterations from race to race, so at what point would be the baseline for an 'accurate' restoration?

My assumptions on the Brumo's RSR......
I believe the car displayed is owned by Bruce Meyer's... and most likely restored by Bruce Canepa.
I also believe Brumo's bought 3 factory RSR's for the '73 session.... I trust this is one of the 3.... And most likely not the '73 Daytona winner... :)
Again, my assumptions... ;)

It would be nice if Luft had some small info cards about the cars.
. . . 'jus' cars'
.............................
Got an email back for Bruce M last night confirming most of my assumptions and what Renn has posted...Quote:
That's chassis 0727 - Peter Gregg's winning TransAm car. Has been in France for the last 10 years and was for sale for a while. May have changed hands and gone States side.
The car (0727) was in France for years, and is the one of the three that stayed with the team in the U.S. through the '73, and was the TransAm and IMSA champion for the season...
The Brumo's Daytona car went back to the factory, and the light yellow Brumo's Sebring car changed hands...

Recently sold via DK Eng. out of UK:
https://www.dkeng.co.uk/ferrari-sale...rrera_rsr.html
VIN: 9113600727 was raced (and won - in #59 livery) at Daytona at the The Camel GT Challenge Daytona Finale 250 Miles, November 25, 1973.

Great - that's what I love about this forum - thanks all for confirming the identify of this awesome RSR.
Brumos apparently had multiple RSRs racing in 1973 in white/blue/red (backed up by Armando's Pbase registry):
911.360.0328/Prototype R4 (#59) - Won the big race at Daytona (Gregg & Haywood), went back to the factory after, apparently raced as a Martini car after.
911.360.0727 (#59) - The one displayed at Luft8 - was in France for years, and is the one of the three that stayed with the team in the U.S. through '73, and was the TransAm and IMSA champion for the season.
911.360.0686/Prototype R7 ?? Seems to have started as a ex works Martini liveried (until June) but is listed as racing at Watkins Glenn (July) under #58, then sold to Rebaque.
911.360.0865 - ordered by Brumos but immediately sold to Rebaque (Mexico)
911.360.0997 Raced with #95 at Road America then a few other races for Brumos under #95 and #97.
Sorry, very off-topic. anyway, back to the Luft8 pictures....

Thanks again for the great pics. Love the “Made in Jacksonville” sticker. And those shoes ……. good eye !! Look forward to East Coast Luft ….
I met the guy with the Dakar Rothmans replica. I passed him on the freeway from San Diego headed north the week before Luft. The car was dirty - looked cool cruising up the 5 freeway amongst all the modern cars on the road. I grabbed him at Luft to talk to him - he told me he was headed back up from Mexico - he was driving in a Baja Rally. So that dirt is from real competition - Really cool when these cars are actually driven as intended.
. . . narrow body, Minilites (?), cool tail, no 'roof, headlight washers --- + pink!

Hi, sorry to disturb you one year after the last reply,
Do you think this one is 0557 ? I made few research and I believe it is the case, but I'm open to contrary evidence.
