http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...t-232-quot-car!
This one is earlier, Rebuilt and comes with a Period starter for $7500
The full disclosure is that I purchased a car with the intention to restore/hotrod it. Upon taking it apart I found it to be very rusty and decided to sell the car. Having disassembled it I kept the engine (914 2.0 already sold) and this transmission. I have no idea what the condition of the internals are. it could be like new or in need of a complete rebuild????
As some have pointed out a nice rebuilt unit can cost anywhere from $7-$10K. I had done some research on my own coming up with the same results. Again not knowing what the true condition of the transmission is I priced mine at $4k. For someone in need of this box or one for an early car this could be a very good deal as the car is belongs to is worth six figures these days.
I AM ASKING $4K OBO There is some additional to put it on a pallet and ship it and I am not opposed to sending it overseas
Maybe more info about it? Does it turn freely? does it shift to all gears? oil smell burned? Anything helps!
It shifts in and out of gear with little effort, spins freely with some resistance, and the transmission does not smell of burnt oil. For anyone seriously interested I would be happy to work out a deal to take it to my mechanic for disassembly and reassembly and include photos at the interested parties cost
This early transmission is Still available
Boy thats a really early one. I'm looking for #101405. Have you considered rebuilding it and waiting for the matching owner to come up? Seems like it would not be too expensive and then you can get top dollar. Just a thought.
I have considered rebuilding it and trying to find the person in need, but not sure how long that wait might be or if the return is there for me at that point?? I have some other VERY special parts that I decided to wait on the owners to want or need and they have just become cool bases for coffee tables.
In the spirit of helping someone in need of this transmission I have dropped the price $100
PM sent to you
Still up for grabs
