Dirk,
Good luck trying to find a good original brown carpet set. When you have exhausted all other alternatives, try Lakewell.com. I bought mine though them. Not cheap, but excellent quality.
Thanks for the mentioned alternative. Seems pretty unexpensive. They do not show pictures of a brown carpet.
Pictures would help. May you post yours?
Hi Dirk,
I went with a darker (non original) brown carpet. My 72T Targa interior was a dark brown and I wanted darker carpet than the original factory color.
Here is a thread that should help with your brown carpet decision...

and another showing my interior and carpet restoration:

so who offers the most correct 72/73 Brown carpets actually?
Haagarn brown with the dark brown interior
I did lots of research and this is as close as you can get
Where to buy?
I got mine through a non specialist, local trimmer in Melbourne, Australia who just looked it up after I mentioned the salt and pepper haagarn and he had a sample in one of his books
so i expect any decent trimmer in Germany would have access to the same product.
Several other fellow Aussie 911 owners have the same carpet in their cars now.
Tony at Autobahn Interiors in the USA has the product as one of my friends bought a kit from him
Hi Clyde,
my trimmer has´nt the correct material while he has most of the materials I needed in the last years. But not the correct brown 72/73.
My you post a closer look of the carpet and what a set would cost in a PN?
BR
Dirk
You would need to check with Tony as it was a few years back but $1500 US rings a bell
Will take a closer pic tomorrow
Received my new old brown interior recently.
Spend nearly 14 month to convince the former owner to sell it to me.
The rear seat backs seem to been fold down all time long. The carpet of the rear backs show very clearly the dark brown area which was under the rear shelf and the fade out rest which was under direct sunlight.
Ordered several samples from KHM, Cartex and Lakewell.
Will post the next samples after they have arrived.

I like the idea to go with a darker brown untill I ll find an original carpet set.
I checked some old pictures of MY72/73 factory tours and a picture of a tan interior shows clearly an non tan carpet.

Don´t get mislead by the paper material on the floor.

I will be pulling out a complete brown interior from a '73 Coupe soon and will need to evaluate the condition of carpet and rest of the interior
actual samples of KMH, Cartex, Döpper and Lakewell

The piece on it's own in the 2nd pic 4thfrom left
is the brown haagan that is also in my car in the earlier pic.
Thanks for the info Clyde.
Hope that Bob might help with some parts.
got several single pieces.
still missing six parts.
driver (1)+passenger (5) floor mat
carpet (807-01-10) for tunnel for 5 speed
adhesive carpet (15+16) with fronts(pockets) left and right
carpet (807-05-10) between rear seats
Dirk, finally had the chance to gut out the interior of my 73. Hope you can use any of it. Not as good as I was hoping for.
Dirk, I️ would love to buy anything you don’t need, there are only like two original pieces in my ‘73 T. The pics of the available choices is great. Do you have a sample of the color Tony at Autobahn uses?
Jordan
I will be posting photos soon of the ‘73 complete Brown interior in very good original condition.
@ Bob. We had a deal on your brown carpet. You just wanted to check the shipping cost and forward it to me.
Still waiting.
I do have the correct 72/73 brown door panels and some side panel parts, if you like to trade to have a nearly complete brown vinyl set, btw.
I apologized for the delay as I have been busy with other things. Let me do this sometime next week as it is not the right time due to Holiday rush to get to the Post Office.
Next week sounds good. No hurry before X Mas. Some situation at the Post Office here in Stuttgart.
Still wtb.
also happy about single brown carpet parts
Only the two front carpets are missing
Have you tried http://www.worlduph.com/porsche/911/classic/coupe/
I use them for all my interior items, they should be able to help you.
Dirk,
Having difficulties sending photos to your email. Thought I would post photos here of your parts request. These are the only items I have on your list. These are for Coupes. Let me know if it is what you are looking for.
Best regards,
Bob

For reference.
72/73 brown velour side by side with perlon
Velour on the left? I don’t think I have ever seen the type on the right. Was it offered in the US?
Jordan
Yes, that's the perlon on the right. NOS in person, those two look pretty similar a couple feet away... closeup obviously very different. In this pick the carpet on the left looks "more old" for lack of a better term,
E
Tony at Autobahn had brown Haagarn awhile back....don't know about right now.
Erik is right. Perlon on the right.
The perlon ones dye over the years less than the velour ones.
Döpper and KHM here in Germany and Tony at Autobahn offer nice sets close to the Perlon version.
The closest velour version that I saw is the Cartex/Sitzklinik sample I got last summer.
Still looking for original floor mats.
We used the brown Haargarn velour from Tony a couple years ago in a '73.5 T, and it was a dead match for the original that we pulled out from under the package shelf. Just don't know if he still has it.
still need some parts of brown carpet:
early 915 /72 middle tunnel part and coupe driver carpet
