I have a couple of nice 5 1/2" painted wheels. Both dated 3/70, one is a lemmerz and the other LMZ. $185 each plus shipping.
If interested Send me a pm with your email and I will send pics.
Since I am posting I also have a couple of nice 4 1/2" chrome wheels and one nice 5 1/2" chrome wheel available.
i have a set of painted 6x15 steelies if you want to go that route, but i don't want to split up the set.
Thank you John, but I’m really looking for a 6 x 15 to match the other wheels on the car.
Thank you Jules, yes, I’d be interested in one of your painted steel wheels. I’ll send you a PM.
I have a single "deep" 6 steelie. I need $100 for it.
I have a Robert Wood restored 16x5 from my old '71 911S. Was always used as a spare in my ownership, and for years before that, I think. Still has an original Michelin XWX on it. Available for pick up in Atlanta.
Thanks csawyer. I’m in California so it would need to be shipped, but I would be interested.
Actually, if my wheel is salvageable I’d be inclined to get it fixed, but I assumed it was toast. Any recommendations are welcome. Here’s a photo that shows the whole wheel. Attachment 442907
It's steel. Therefore, it can be welded and repaired. The question is whether it's worth it to spend the money.
have it media blasted to bare metal, take it from there. It does not look that bad. Maybe some refinishing is needed and then paint it with würth wheel silver. Get rid of that tire, it looks ancient and is probably hard as a rock; no bueno, not even for a mile. Alliance made in ISRAEL...??? pre DOT date codes, so 1970s maybe? scary.
