will send you the ones that escaped the bin.still the same address ?
cloak peg and roofliner also came in different colours.the edge protection around the rear quarter window i`v only seen in the yellowish grey( but that does not mean that there no grey version out there)
and if i remember correctly there is different vanity mirror shapes
No charge if I have them, Eric. I'll stop by my shop tomorrow.
stuff is on the way...did compare the mirrors of all visors i have ...all the same shape
i noticet that i also have black(not painted) mounting hardwear....is that 68?
Might be that grey was a replacement part!....... would look good on a Bali blue car....etc... cliff
Hi Eric.
I've got one I'll donate too, it's here in town.
Peter
Grey was what the SWB headliner was, the ivory beige stuff was for LWB. Look at all the 65-68 sun visor brackets, coat hooks, etc they were grey on the early stuff. I have NOS LWB stuff and it all ivory. THe perforation pattern also changed to driver you further nuts on what was correct. Those visors color changed - were probably in the sun at some point, my guess.
Eric I Goggled it.
Send to the Fremont Ave address?
my sun visors on my November 65 produced 912 are the same color as your 'aged' one...
Eric
the visor is on it's way as of yesterday.
Peter
pictures dont really show the difference as clear as when you have them in hands.
everyone who is sceptical about that those are two different colours is invited to come over and have a look at my parts arcive.
i even think the grey one is made out of different material since it is still super soft.
I disagree, once you study all the little parts grey is the real color. Coat hooks, visors, windlace. But people including myself have been doing ivory/cream for years.
It’s an interesting debate, a number of years ago I figured they were all ivory but nah, not on swb. The perforations is a whole other debate too.
I have noticed that whatever material was used in some soft grey products has a tendency to turn beige over many years or with UV exposure or maybe picking up dirt. Take the grey turn signal seals for instance. I am not saying I am completely right here but I am leaning toward grey more and more these days. For one thing, why would the sun visor mounts, coat hooks be colored grey if the headliner was beige? 66-67 sinvisors are black on one side grey on the other.
Here is what I have, don't think any of this would help the discussion
here is LWB just for color reference - definitely an ivory/cream color
