Joel,
Got mine 15 years ago from Allan Johnson Motor Storts ... It may now be known as AJ-USA...
Formed sheet metal in factory zinc-green finish ... I sprayed it satin black, bolted it in, and put some ribbed rubber on the face...
Hope this helps,
Chuck, thanks...does it just bolt in over carpet into sheet metal?......
Ya Joel,
It through-bolts into the inner wheel well about half way down and just in from the gas fill overflow tube ... I used small black button-head allan screws on the inside and washers and nylock nuts in the wheel well...
The dead pedal puts your foot in a very natural and comfortable posision ...
If I'm not shift'n that's were my left foot is.......;)
AJ has some nice ones in black for a fair price..thanks again .......
Here's one Joel-
another one-
Hey Jens.....those are oe dead pedals?....do you know from what vintage /model cars?....TIA
Just kidding Joel, yup part # 901.501.825.00, called "foot rest for driver's left foot" (on LDH cars). They were at least as early as '68. On *vehicles used for sports purposes*.
On my driver I use a black anodized unit made by Rennline here in Vermont. Very nice piece. I'm saving the new factory piece for my '68 lightweight.
i'm with Jens on this one. i have a NOS factory dead pedal that i purchased from msroadrace.
thanx Bob and Jens, will call them....what was the price?....
i would have to look through my binder of receipts at home for the price. seems to me i paid a pretty penny - $85? they're becoming hard to find in new condition with the sticker of the part #.
ya, just spoke to Dave..they are a little pricey.......
A mere binder Bob? I'm affraid I'll be up to a file cabinet of reciepts before long. :D
racemor,
you've got a great car to show for it! i suspect i will need a file cabinet when i drop a 3.0 into it ;)...someday.
