I was by my mechanic the other day and there she was. A one owner -73 RS untuched with only 10700 kilometers. The car has it's original tires, a little dry though. It was parked 1977 and has just come out of the cave. The car is a 3rd series car. I sorry that I did not put the wipers down....Please understand that this car is NOT for sale. I post this because it is of interest as a reference car.

I’ve heard about this car too. I’ve also heard that there is one more RS in Sweden in similar condition with very low mileage, if not as low as this one. Can’t confirm it, though.
Here’s something to chew on:
Last year the Swedish lifestyle magazine “Plaza” had an article about how the Carrera RS has become a classic icon, with some nice studio shots of #169. The article mentions an unused black RS that was discovered in Tokyo a couple of years ago with 0 kms on the clock (!). Apparently the car was a love gift from a Japanese businessman to his mistress and the car was lifted into the bedroom of their “love nest” when new. Their relationship ended early but the car remained in the house until building workers discovered it when the house was being refurbished in early 2000.
Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it, or has anyone else heard this story before? Anyhow, the article concludes that human passion comes and goes but a true calibre 911 remains.
That black RS may have zero miles on the clock, but the sports seats may have a few miles on them :eek:

I am sure all you RS geeks have already done the homework on this, but it looks like the car pictured is #1201. It is a third series lightweight that is Dalmatian Blue with no options that was originally delivered to Sweden (and just came out of a cave there). :)

Yes, to some people this car is known, all of them have tried to see it and buy it. None has succeded. And, yes there is another one, red on white, in even better shape. It has 39000 kilometers on it. That car has changed owners. The current owner ordered a M472 new and thought that the buyer of the M471 did get a lousy ROI. He has tried for some time to get the hand on that M471. He will not sell either. The owner of the blue loves it and has all the money he will ever need, alas, he don't seem to car about the money. He bought it new and he likes it. He has been offered money in the region of it's value and turned it down. I feel a little bad about setting out these pictures because the owner don't like publicity. I was stupit enough to think that it would not be identified right away.
If you are young and reading this, remember that cars often live longer than the owners. All houses and cars (that don't burn down or get crashed) are guaranteed to change hands some day....
Notice the speaker in the rear window. I wonder if they were is installed at the factory.

I had a rather untuched -73 S way back that was very high. I have also a Dlamatian Blue -73 E coming from CA to me. It's fairly untuched and it's also very high. I will measure and see if this is the original factory adjustment. I looks rather funny....
Notice that it has factory mounted mirrors on both sides, which I believe was done to cars delivered to Japan and Sweden only.
Here are some pics of the Black RS from Japan you guys are talking about.........................., only kidding guys, this car did go to Japan from Australia in 1989 I think it was and only returned late last year and it had done 100KM total in the time it was gone, still had its Victoria, Australia registration information on the windscreen and its Registration plates as well. Its an ex English car, RHD and sold for reported $200,000 Aussie which is about $155,000US. It was good but not great but we get so few cars to choose from out here.
I bought RS #101 at Ventura 2 years ago sees like a great investment at the moment while the market is white hot for RS cars. Anyone want to buy it for $150,000US?

I was thinking more of the current thread on Pelican re Fcars with a woman on the hood of one -- she was wearing super high heeels, and was called skanky and some other terms.... Now Phtotshop BBS wheels onto the heels, and - of course - turn her upside down to compensate for the coriolis force, and then post here...

Update: I just read about her and her quick death from breast cancer. That’s so tragic. My father just had surgery several weeks ago for invasive cancer so it’s horrible.

Lisa was the only child of man that started the first independent Porsche service in Victoria Province. And she was definitely her dad's daughter... She was one of most knowable Porsche people I ever met....
She didn't suffer fools... and could drink'ya under the table.... If'ya knew her, ya'loved her
Mother of 3, she died of breast cancer in 2011 at the age of 47...
Her husband Mike has carried on the business about 30 miles East of Melbourne in the wine country...
Man, that was hard to write....
