Hi,
I'm looking for a 911/53 2,4 S with original MFI.
Must be Complete engine for my '72 S. to rebuild or newly restored engine.
I'm interested in Type 911/53 year 1972, means engine # starting with 632xxxx only.
Shipping to Texas, not Europe.

Complete 2.4S engines come up so rarely. I'm very interested to know the market price for something like this.

I want to pay fair market value for what I am getting. Around $9,000 or less for a complete and original type 911/53 MFI engine that turns over (with all the 2.4S MFI components in good condition).
To give you an idea, last year I bought from a fellow Pelicanite (M491Cabriolet) a really beautiful 1972 2.4S (type 911/53) complete engine with its original MFI, for $9,500. And It was a very well preserved engine and all components were present.

The 911S Engine Case ON EBAY It's a little expensive, but the owner it's open to offers. I will call and sense if there is room for negotiation.

If you bought a 1972S engine for $9500 running you did well. I'd say a known-condition long block is worth at least $8-9000 ... maybe more if it's been rebuilt.
That is my case /dizzy on ebay . always room for neg.. but 72/73S stuff is EXTREMELY hard to come buy now A days
I do know where the full 72S MFI system for it. but that is 5K also

Maybe not interesting for you, but I know a 2.4S crank + conrods + cylinders and pistons, all in VGC which will be for sale in the next weeks / months.
Don't know what the owner wants for that, but I can ask. The problem (for you) is that is is located in France.

I already purchased the 1972 911S Engine Case and Matching distributor (in great shape and very clean) that was available on eBay. I ended up paying $4,000 delivered to Winnemucca, Nevada.

Now, I need the MFI system, fan, sheet metal, oil cooler, rods, crankshaft with gear, flywheel, “S” cams, etc. all non wearable components from an original 1972S engine.
I would appreciate it very much if you could reply to me with any information about any of these 72/73S stuff.

Hey Ricardo! I'm M491Cabriolet on pelicanparts.com. This is a classic case of never never never sell stuff, ever, because you never know when you will need it again. The 1972 2.4S engine was disassembled. It was a very good core. The case, crank, rods, and heads were all restorable. The muffler was in good condition. The oil cooler was from a ‘71 and earlier 911 and had to be replaced. The MFI was almost complete, only missing the micro switch. All-in-all, It was an excellent starting point!
The engine NOW has been restored better than new!... Tom Woodford did a great job rebuild it in concours condition.
Tom was the technical editor for "How to Rebuild and Modify Porsche 911 Engines." and typically is very picky about which engine jobs he takes on. He typically will only accept jobs where he can remove/rebuild/reinstall/run-in and test the engine inside of the car.
The engine was built as a 2.5 with a custom big bore set of pistons/cylinders (10.5-1). It does produce 220HP with the stock muffler and if you see the engine appears as a stock 2.4S engine with MFI. It uses the stock Bosch CD system.
I'm sorry I can not consider selling it back to you!... this Engine is going into a fully restored 1972 Porsche 911s.

I have another 72 S case complete 4500 we want. Plus we have many other misc 2.4S bits: rods, an oil pump, some engine tin, the red shroud...maybe a distributor. Throttle plates that were in a light fire and some that were not, the plastic MFI air cleaner housing...
Oddly enough, I recall a Ricardo whom I sold a complete 2.4S mfi system to and shipped for him to NV 2-3 years ago...Were you in Guatemala(or another Central American Country) prior?

On second thought and before anyone wants to buy the 72 case I just offered -I will hang onto it. I have most all the parts to build a complete motor. and given what has happened to the car "values" in the last yr or two , should put it all together. I do have many misc extra 2.4 S engine bits however if guys needed random parts.

Yup. I had the same experience. I shipped my engine to a guy in the western US who was going to inspect and do any necessary work on my engine, then ship it to Riccardo in Central America somewhere (or possibly to South America, I don't remember). I don't know when he moved to Maryland... Riccardo, where in Maryland do you live?
