Wow...I'm in Virginia and would love to have had a chance at buying that one! Great find...what are your plans for her?
Cool, you can se the original yellow wax coating on the fan!
Nice T, probably coming to Europe, Austria to me more precise:D
It is in Austria!
I like this conditions, harder and harder to find.
@mac, no plans for it at the Moment.

Heinz if you deiced to sell it let me know.
Interesting choice.
How'd you find it?
It has a Hokie sticker  I'd dump that car right quick. :D
Wahoo Wah. Enjoy.
strange Story, I helped someone on a parking place, we started talking, I asked if he knew a unrestored porsche and he said yes, he has one. for sale? yes, the parking deal, handshake, deposit and that's the car ;-)
Great car, Heinz! --- and I love how you found out about it! . . .
'. . . I asked . . .'
:D
Excellent find!
And looking closely at the trunk tag, it appears the VIN is actually 9113101007. Somehow an extra '1' found its way into the dealer paperwork. Or maybe I'm seeing things...
Wow. Great story. Very resourceful.
It pays to be curious and intrusive; sometimes bordering on obnoxious. Just acquired a silver 71 T coupe with 23k miles the same way... and paid dearly.
The days of $25k original 911's are L O N G. G O N E.
or are they Heinz?
Oh, really? Just another 'Day-in-the-Life,' huh?
C'mon now, Frank --- Heinz showed us his . . .
. . . your turn?
;)
. . . and don't forget about ds58's 'Original Cars' thread! . . .

Nice find Heinz.

Quite correct. The bill of sale is wrong (11 digits, not 10), but the window sticker is correct as is the VIN tag. Would love to see a good photo of the DOT decal on the door jamb, and the paint tag on the hinge post.
I will make pictures.
I think I'm having a conniption --- or maybe it's just an infarction . . .

;)
. . . no pictures = never happened
what do you mean, sorry, don't understand.
Just white noise Heinz.
Sometimes people who get invited to the party whisper amongst themselves.
Sorry.
no problem ;-)
My apologies, Heinz . . . for not being more clear. I didn't want to take away from your thread, so I tried to be as brief as possible
Mr Beck sees a LOT more cars than most of us . . . and has for a while. So --- when he sees something that impresses him? . . . I get excited
So, I posted a link to a thread called 'What Do You Look For' --- to get Frank to post something about some old tires that he came across. My reference to 'pictures' was to get some . . . which Frank graciously provided
Again, I apologize
Thank you LongRanger :-)

Not so Bad, Great! So they are still Out there...
This is the car bought in the parking lot at Amelia Island last year. I met Heinz and his friends. He asked about Porsches (original ones) and I pointed to the owner of "a few".
It's an interesting car. One photo of the upper right side of the hood shows where the original paint was lightly buffed. It's pretty amazing. Took a lot of pictures of the original moldings and the air conditioning setup since it was a factory AC car. Note the City of Roanoke decal. 1980.
Glad to see it finally made it, Heinz!
Tom
Hello, yes, this is the car ;-)
I like this condition, not all understand this.
Yes they are, but harder to find them like new anymore the way they were deliverd, it still has the plastic on the sunvisors....
Lovely car. Good find. Congrats, Heinz. What month in 1972 was it produced?
I would love to know if the seat belt receptacle has textured or non-textured black cover. Could you maybe post a close-up of the receptacle:

Hello, thank you, Picture is not possible at the Moment, sorry.
Here are the docs again.

Thanks Heinz.
Sorry for any inconvienience this might be. It is just not often you get to see a unrestored original car with this level of original details present.
If photos are no option, maybe you could just check the receptacles next time you are with the car? The two different types of receptacles are seen here:
Non-textured:

Textured:

Production date is not shown in the documents. It is found on the silver label in the driver side door jamb: E.g. 10/72 or similar:

original Picture from the first (proud) owner, great...

Very nice photo Heinz. Do you know the year it was taken?
Tom,
Looks like the A/C was dealer installed according to the paper work.
Brian,
It's a little weird; paperwork indicates it's dealer installed but that's definitely a fac Behr system.
Dealer A/C would have been DPD or VPC.
I photographed this car in detail and spent a lot of hours around it. The AC is factory. All the signs are there. The front condenser, intake blower and over-sprayed factory ducting. The washer bottle is moved to the correct position and the "rare" cap is in the hole where it would normally reside. The under-hood carpet is modified for the bottle as well.
This isn't the 1st car that has been optioned the same I've seen without "AC" spelled out on the Monroney Decal.
Will post my photos.
Tom
When I worked at the Porsche dealer in Dallas there one instance I can remember that a Behr system was installed at the dealer, but not to the level of detail done on the assembly line.
Interesting to follow, thank you
Some photos of the washer bottle relocation and plug in the latch panel.
Yep that's how it was on my 72 T with factory air.
Thank you Tom, interesting, thanks for showing.
Se you in Amelia on the parking place?
A car that sold for $25,000 a LONG time ago.
Note the cost of Option Group G03, $1045.00 on the Monroney sticker. I would guess this is where the cost of the Factory AC was captured.
Tom,
That blue '73 S is a VERY cool car.
Where is it now?
Tom, thanks for the info. and also the great photos showing factory air. Didn't realize there was such a noticeable difference.
Behr. Their factory was actually in Pforzheim, close to Stuttgart.
Here is their 1970/71 brochure:
