Russ, Thanks for questioning me. I just reread the post and the OP is not looking for the duct between the heater valves and the heat exchangers. I apologize for wasting bandwidth.

Just for fun I ordered a 5' piece from MSC... it'll be interesting to compare to what Stoddard sells. Will post pix when they arrive.
OK, finally got the stuff from MSC... it's thinner wall than expected but being silicone, no issues with heat. Left is the Stoddard repop, right is an OG piece.

The silicone looks closer to the right color (whatever that's supposed to be) and while the repop tubes are dimensionally right, original tubes are much softer.
The image of the product on MSC Direct's site is nothing like what was received. Too bad, was hoping for a good alternative.
I think the MSC tube looks pretty good , I will try it . Some trivia : the tube or hose was black on 911's built in '65 and maybe early '66 .
If you want the MSC stuff I'll send you mine, Rich. It's NOT what is pictured on their site, the ID is 1.5" so the wall thickness is much less than expected.
Also, it came from a third party supplier and took a month to arrive. As I said, the color is better but the material doesn't match the OG tubes..
My recollection is that the hose on my '65 911, 301382, was not black when I got the car circa 1997, but it was disintegrating. The defroster hoses in the car at the time might have been original or might have been replaced years before I bought the car.
For many years I settled for black VW reinforced paper hose.
301318 hoses are black. I do not believe they have been painted. I checked with acetone on a small section and do not see any orange. They are pretty fragile though.
