Self-made plastic rear window hold down straps in aluminium. Bolted to threaded aluminium pieces glued on under rear glass so no damage done.... And patinated of course...:D
Sorry. 7 years late.
I cut the V part of the cable that sits at the stock single hole at the lever. Then I attached each half of the cable to the rear valves. Now the cables only pull on one heater valve at a time. My wife can have heat, and I stay cool.
I also installed inline fans with separate controllers where the radio volume and channel selection would normally be. For that go to page 138.
Here are a couple more items. The bumper is stock steel. The hood, decklid, oil line cover and license plate panel are aluminum. This is for a 69 2.7 liter POLO engine car. I'm hoping for a sub 2100 pound car.
Always one of my favorite all time threads on this site.
The ideas are really fantastic.
Boy the bumper and oil line cover are sliiiiick! Nice!
Chris, those bumper grilles look fantastic! would you mind sharing your source for the mesh material you used?
I don't remember were I got the mesh. It was about 5 years ago. I'll go see if Jon my metal guy still has the box. As stated above McMaster-Carr would be a good source.
Actually, stock means there is at least one original part on the car.
