The slip tube axles were made by Dick Elverud in Portland OR. It was his solution to the double jointed Nadella axles. They were advertised in the back of Pano in the day, maybe under the name Monte’s Motors.

Here's a group of great photos from McKlein taken in a Porsche Workshop in 1969 according to the site. I'm not sure if they have been shared here before. The rack of engines is something to behold.
The plate S-L 2264 was used on one of the 1969 factory Monte Carlo Rally cars. I'm assuming that these are photos of the Monte Carlo racers in preparation, but feel free to correct this if wrong.
