Very cool Chuck. Thanks for sharing. Anyone know the vintage of these? 70's / 80s
Brad,
The white car is a series I so it would fall in the mid '60's to the mid '70's ... I believe the red 2000 RS is mid '80's with upgraded engine and bodywork ...
I've always been a fan of the series I Escorts ....
Here's a pic of Australian Frank Gardner kill'n'm in the Allan Mann Escort... ;)
Cheers,
Chuck

The fact the world rally championship only started in 1973 probably downplays just how important the mk1 escort was ever since it entered the rally scene in 1968. It also saw success in other motorsport disciplines

Too many successes to mention but one comes to kind.Won the London to Mexico rally for World Cup 1970. Escort often showed 911 a clean pair of heels on rally events

Maybe someone knows how to post this without viewers needing to sign on to Facebook to view as footage is very much how I remember rallying in U.K. in that era of two wheel drive on slippery wet muddy conditions and special stages of the Royal Automobile Club’s International Rally of Great Britain — usually held in November
