After reading some of my Ferrari stuff it got me think'n ...
The typical Ferrari 2 liter V12 of the late '40's into the mid '50's had pistons that were 2.36 inches...
The typical contemporary 500 inch Fuel Dragster has intake valves that are 2.45 inches...
Ferrari also had 1.5 liter V12's and Flat 12's with pistons just over 2 inches !!!!
My thumb and forefinger is do'n the 2 inch thing right now.... :D

Then there was the 1966 Honda RC166 4 stroke/ 4 valve 6cyl motorcycle engine with bore of 41mm, and stroke of 33mm (thus 250cc) achieving 65 HP at 18,000 rpm.
