Most of those overseas radios don't have a wide enough FM band for us Charles

Most if not all of the Aussie dealer delivered cars came in without a radio so Hamiltons could add the cost and make some more money
Lol. That was probably standard practice ‘til the Japanese imports came in fully loaded and gave the Aussie motor trade a kick!
