911r
I am currently building a 911R replica and I can't finda good photo of the engine bay showing the panel where the oil tank normally fits.
Does any one know if the 'R' had a 912 panel in his area or if the normal oil tank holes were just blanked off.
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
This shot was taken, looking at the r/r inner fender of R#20, the last production R built in a series of 20. The inner panel looks much like a 912 panel with the shapes embossed for the rear oil tank and lines. The holes that are present are for the R system only. The photo which Andy posted shows the holes for the series 911 tank blocked off, as this car started life as a 911S and was later changed to the 911R.
