I am a new member of the Registry and I am going to tackle a bunch of projects on my 911L. The car was my dad's for thirty years before I got it and prior to that it was owned by one other person in Los Angeles. I have some of the maintenance records from the original owner and, to be frank, my dad didn't do much aside from keeping it running and painting it a different color.
I have little experience restoring cars but have wanted to do so for some time and decided this was the year I would start. I have found a set of work shop manuals on ebay that are due to arrive next week.
I should also say I have had three larger "needs" addressed at a good local repair including rebuilding the Sportomatic transmission and replacing most of the suspension. Both make the car much more enjoyable to drive and have led me to want to drive it more often and take on smaller projects.
I will post questions, pictures, and progress of the work in this thread. Most of the projects I have in mind are smaller deferred maintenance that will help me get acquainted with the car and build my confidence and skills.
