do you mean 912 into a 911,
never heard of anyone doing the other way around
need to weld in the rear engine mounts for 911
As a 912 guy, I was surprised to see the title 911 To 912 Conversion. Needless to say, Harry and I and a few others with both 911's and 912's in their collections can understand the question, if in fact it was the OP intended, but I am sure most others on this forum are scratching their heads and wondering what ren915 is thinking. Inquiring minds want to know.

BTW, if Magnus ever decides to add a 912 to his collection, we'll know the 912 has "arrived". What do you say Magnus - any plans?
assuming this is a serious post....
after that and contemplating what you're about to embark, you will need the following:
a 912 engine
gear box properly geared for a 912
912 motormounts cut from a parts car (um.. if you need em let me know?)
next you will want to change your tach. if you're going for 100% correct 912 and not just functioning, all of the 912 gauges..
um... 23 rear and 19 front torsion bars (you dont want big bars on a 912).
and now you have made a 911 one better (like turning your amps up to 11.. 912... one better..)
now if turning a 912 to a 911 you would normally upgrade the brakes. if you want to downgrade the brakes when making it one better (a 912), then you can, but obviously bigger brakes are probably OK unless they are turbo brakes which would be extremely overkill.
I don't see anything wrong with turbo brakes on a 912
that's mykind of 912....
Big brakes take more power to accelerate and make the ride worse due to more unsprung mass. You only want as much brake as you need to lock the tires.
