Coa?
:(Has anyone else received a less than informative COA lately? I spoke to Kristen @ Porsche and she told me that this seems to be a common problem with the 69-73 year vehicles, apparently their archives are rather incomplete. The original window sticker told me more than the COA did! No Transmission information at all, only that the car came with "standard US equipment"! I can send it back for a refund, but it's the information I really want, maybe the Kardex will yeild more info, any thoughts, Porsche says that's all they can find?

I agree, my original bill of sale was far more informative. I also had no transmission info listed... I expected more from Porsche...

The problems are hardly limited to the early cars. I've had 3 COAs for 3 different cars in the last 5 years and every one contained errors.
For my 86 Carrera and 86 928, both came saying "Build Date - Not Recorded". I called Customer Care and the rep I talked to looked up both cars in the computer....and both build dates were right there on the screen. How in the world it could be in their computer but "not recorded" on the printed document is beyond me.
The CoA that I received for my brand new 2007 997 S had a "turbo logo" option! Mind you, this was less than 2 months after it rolled off the assembly line. I'd really like to know how the CoA program can be so ridiculously bad.
