Looks great!! Tell me about the steering wheel. I have always loved wooden wheels, but others have told me that they are not "period correct on the early cars" unless they are really early.

leather covered steering wheels were standard on all 67 911S's but as a no charge option you could get a wood wheel insteadQuote:

I always thought the '67S wheel just had leather covering over the standard wood wheel. Is this not correct? Was the leather-covered wheel a different material underneath?

all of the leather covered wheels I've seen were not wood under the leather there a black plastic type of materialQuote:
