I have a 2.0 that I'm rebuilding as a 2.2. I have 2.2 heads that need to be overhauled, ported and polished. I like to know who to have do the work. Thank You

CE has a great reputation, but if you want the heads back sometime in your lifetime look elsewhere. I sent my 2.2S case, crank w/rods, and fly wheel in Jan. and I can't get him to return my phone calls or emails for a progress report.
My guess is that he is swamped with work because of Dempsey's Engine rebuilding book. Walt was cited many times in the book as being the best shop around to have machine work done on a Porsche motor. I'm sure there are other shops that can recondition your heads in a reasonable time frame.
If they are for a performance application, I would send them to Steve Weiner at Rennsport Systems in Portland. I have heard he runs a pretty mean flow bench. :)
