72 911s interior color
Hi, I've got a 72 911s and had a question about the interior color.
The original interior is a light tan. As the car is Abert blue I thought it would look nice with a darker color inside. Like a sort of tobacco brown. Something a little darker than tan with a bit of red to it.
Does anyone know if this might have been available on a 72? I like the color but really don't want to put in something that would not have been available. Or should I even worry about it?
Any help on this? Opinions?
PS. Just got the car back from the paint shop and the color is totally cool!

Hey Tom,
Doc Johnson lists brown as well as tan as an interior upholstery color for '72.

Red Book too!
My Tangerine '73 had a very neat black and chocolate brown interior, brown sport seats with hounds-tooth inserts.

Going strictly by memory here...so don't take this as gospel. But I believe the plastic brown seats are a darker shade than the leather brown (beige) seats...

I think the coolest color to go inside would be the ultra rare blue leatherette, available in '72-'73. You could definitely get away with it with your shagadellic Albert blue exterior. AWESOME!

I'll go with Sandy on this one...I once saw an early 911S, blue/blue/sports seats...it was very pretty.
