John, will this bulb work in my H4’s on my ‘72?
Looks right to me, Peter. It is an H4 with P43t base, should fit fine as long as the yellow outer shell will fit through the opening.
Peter, I'm no John Audette but, I did gander at one of his cars in Carmel once.
Yes, that bulb will work in a headlight that is a proper "H4" type. H4 is a standard that defines bulb filaments, typical wattage and bulb base style. Would still appreciate the Guru's take.
And now that I think about it, it pretty much has to fit through the opening, just by the nature of the bulb. Globe can't be bigger than the hole it must pass through.Quote:

There are bulbs with far better technology available though. :rolleyes: You could probably remove the bubble from this one and use it on a better one.
