1973 1/2 fog lamps
Hello all ,
My 73 1/2 911E has a COA stating the car came with rectangular fog lamps.
However, when I bought the car it had a S style front valance (spoiler) and no fog lamps.
There is switch on the dash and wiring for the fog lamps and it works as it should.
After 50 some years something changed. Either the horn grills switched or
the lower front spoiler was changed from the original which would had openings for the fog lamps.
Any thoughts what’s been altered?

Didn't you just say the fog lights went away with the original front spoiler? What am I missing?

Well, the COA could be jacked up but, if it says rectangular fogs as you say, the car would have had the standard bumper and 139s in the the lower fog openings. If you think the S spoiler is original to the car then would have had through the grill fogs.
Take your pick. Either the number or the horn grills have been replaced.
Look for the wiring harnesses under the car. Are they tied up to the area of the horn grills or where the lower fog holes would be. Look for evidence of TTG brackets mounted to the battery boxes.
If I were to guess, your bumper was swapped for the higher performance spoiler (is it steel?) and the fogs were tossed.

on 73E, spoiler was optional, CoA should state it.
If not, car had standard front bumper (as T) and fog lights.
