Calling on the Recaro experts - what do I have here, and what year might they be ?
I am hoping they might suit my ‘75 build 924 Group 4 Rallye ex Barth/Kussmaul that was race prepped in ‘79.
Cheers
Stew.

They would be period correct for 74-76 but that's not a race seat.
I am not sure about the Rallye cars but the ciruit 924 Race cars had lollipop seats.
I know of one having had the Recaro 13.29.00 of which i have a set.

Have you asked Mr Barth what kind seats were into this car ?
Nice G-class with interesting registration, by the way.
Those are LSA models. The LS could have the thigh support but it was the same general seat design as in an LSC.
Mine had the heinous "Spectrum" cloth which I thought was cool at the time. You do strange things to cars when your in your teens.
Excellent info, many thanks folks.
I have corresponded with Jürgen -he’s been great- he recalled they used a fairly standard Recaro as they didn’t use race seats as such, because they didn’t use the seatbelts (!) due to the 600 cattle gates they had to get out of the car and unlock/lock on their journey around the outback. So, it did have black period Recaros.
They're very much a pair, pulled from a one owner '75 Range Rover.
Thanks 928CS - The G is an '88 SWB 230GE. The '937' rego plates were the first registration plates issue here in 1906 and are very sought after.
Here a pic of the crazy Recaro seats that are in the car today ...Attachment 459320
