John, will this bulb work in my H4’s on my ‘72?
Looks right to me, Peter. It is an H4 with P43t base, should fit fine as long as the yellow outer shell will fit through the opening.
Peter, I'm no John Audette but, I did gander at one of his cars in Carmel once.
Yes, that bulb will work in a headlight that is a proper "H4" type. H4 is a standard that defines bulb filaments, typical wattage and bulb base style. Would still appreciate the Guru's take.
Looks like my forum brothers nailed it. I think it’s just a typical halogen H4 bulb with a yellow bubble over the top secured by a metal base on the bubble. There are bulbs with far better technology available though. You could probably remove the bubble from this one and use it on a better one.
Have a great Thursday everyone.
Cheers,
John
Thanks all!
