Hey everyone. I have a 68 that came with a later anodized 5 bar grill and want to revert to the 3 bar. Can I just purchase a genuine 5 bar and remove the two spare bars? Are the mounting points the same? (Im assuming they are)

Not really. The mesh is sandwiched between the bars so, removing the bars while can be done, can’t be done without leaving traces. Just hold out for a three bar grill. They come up for sale fairly regularly. Or, the reproductions appear to be pretty nice.Quote:
