They're looking for offers above US $100K, considering the racing history I'd call that fair. Perhaps the early racing cars don't have as much appeal, no big wheels, no big engines, no spoilers, no big decals. Personally if I had the money I'd love to own it.

The non-matching engine and gearbox are probably driving the price down, however on racing cars with racing results, matching numbers is not as important (as everything breaks when you go racing). However I do think it should have a correct engine type (2.0 L with 160hp).
Either way, I think it's a neat car and the beginnings of Porsche's rally involvement that led to a Monte Carlo win the following year.
