Hah! Wanna bet they have him slap his autograph somewhere prominent?
So, if I read that right Brumos had Porsche produce just FIVE special Hurley-fied 997s, sorta their version of the Sport Classic.
Future collectible or $133,540 bargain with individualized dress-up kits? :p
Vic Elford, Derek Bell Specials are coming soon - RHD only though ....
Porsche Special Editions - Keep em coming
The same Porsche designer who came up with the Sport Classic and the new Speedster designed these 'B59' cars. Each of the five carry a Porsche Exclusive numbered plaque corresponding to one of Hurley's 24 hour Daytona endurance wins... There's a numbered 1973 car, a 1975, 1977, 1979, and lastly a 1991 car.
I've seen photos of all five sitting lined up in the Exclusive shop and they are definitely very cool.
The article about these came out over 6 months ago and it showed all the bling that is been added, kinda like cake decorators. :)
Here are the photos of the exterior ...
To each his own, but sometimes I wonder who is coming up with all these variations of the modern 911 and how they think this is a good idea long term for Porsche.
The Hurley special, the Cayman R, let's throw in a tbd 550, and so on and so on.
I wonder what's next
That is stupid. They should hae carried the stripes all the way from the hood, over the roof, across the engine lid and down to the tail panel. Not just the hood and rear panel. Duh! :p
That has to be the ugliest rendition of a Brumos paint job I have ever seen. I guess ole P.T. Barnum was right.
Brumos Cool John.
