oil cooler advice
I'm a new 73 911s owner and would like to add a front fender oil cooler. My car had A/C and no cooler, and runs at 230 on warm days. I've purchased the cooler and thermostat, and need to find out the flow of oil through the oil tank, engine cooler, and engine. I see two lines from the oil tank with one going to the oil cooler (this one would be easy to remove) and one to the hard line to the engine ( this one would be hard to remove because the fitting to the hard line looks pressed on. I would need to remove the hard line to the engine to get it off). Could someone give me some advice on where to tap in to the oil system? Would a sandwich plate at the oil filter work?
Thanks

I can't help you directly with your question. Until someone chimes in I would recommend that you use the search function at the top of the page. You'll find a lot of discussion on this subject. You can also check the Pelican Parts Forum for more info.

Here's a link that could help you. The finned hard lines work well...according to a test made during a Turkish summer ;).
