I have seen photos of the early 911's with carpeted center humps (between the front floors), but my car has a rubber hump covering. The interior of my newly acquired October 1965 911 appears to be original and the previous owner of the last 19 years thinks it to be original too. So to my question: is the rubber hump cover correct for an October 1965 911, or should there be carpeting?

Next question: the interior sills on my car, just above the heater vents, has a ribbed rubber covering. I have not seen this in photos of any other car. Anyone else seen this before? They are useful in protecting the sill carpeting from wear, but were they fitted orginally?
