No, I meant old "type 911", not necessarily something from an old 911. Maybe the part for a type 901 ('65-'68 :confused: ) is the same, i dont know. I just asked for a '70-'71 part becuase thats what the gearbox is from.Quote:

Hello: I think you can use the 915 shift rod on the 901 type gearbox. I believe the only difference is the tube diameter of the rods. Try it and see if it will fit. Thanks Eric
