Wow...that guy thinks he can get $30K + for that thing, which while having lots of potential, is currently in a sorry state. Let's see what the market dictates. I'm guessing high teens.
Well mine went to $19,100 a no sale, market a little soft right now.

If he gets $30K, I will feel VERY, VERY good about my red, '69S...
I really hope he can get that price. I see the excellent example S that was posted for $65 being discussed as being over priced.
I am having a hard time telling if market is up or down? It seemed to go up 100% this summer, has it fallen 100% since Sept?
Prices for unique parts/literature seems through the roof.
The main difference I see is not as many overseas bidders since the dollar has gotten stronger. For the right car prices are probably same or higher but there always is some seasonality to demand for these beasts as well.

So this guy only wants 30 large for this old Porsche? What a deal...needs to be stripped and re-painted original color, for starters. Needs a lot of "minor" work as well, I just don't get it. Someone might have a nice 69S but they will have over 50 large in it when done. Pass.
That said, an excellent respray and general cleaning/tuning and the car would probably be a break even endeavor on resale. Definitely not for a profiteer, but seems like a nice basis for creating a perfect car. I'd call it a deal at $25K.Quote:
