Early 911S Rookie Needs Torque Specs
Hello - I'm just completing my first oil change on the '67 911S I bought from Rick Cabell, and notice that page E 125 in my factory manual is blank...that's where the index says the engine torque specs are. #$%^&^(*!!!
Could someone please provide me specs for the engine / oil Tank drain plugs, and the engine sump cover nuts?
Also, what's a good source for this info? I'm compulsive about using a toraue wrench!
Thanks, Bob S.

Bob-
Mine is not blank, but the torque spec for those bolts is not there anyway. I believe the two large bolts for the oil drain plugs (the ones with the aluminum crush washers) are torqued to something like 27-32 ft. lbs., just enough to crush the washer and seal. The small bolts which hold the sump plate on are less, about 8-10 ft. lbs. Wayne Dempsey lists 31 and 8 ft. lbs., respectively, in his book.
