ok ...
you remember maybe the wooden steering wheel with batwing I had found which was in need of a „resto“. the recommendation had been Bruce Crawford, and I was happy to send the wheel to him. His work was „wow“ and he did send it back to me...the package took from LA to frankfurt 4 days...then 2 days custom clearance and getting to the next hub. There, at DHL near Munich, a guy decided: we send it back????!!!! and made and entry in the papers for reshipment to the sender!!!!! the package was already 40km off my house! it was send back to frankfurt, went on a plane to JFK and then got lost!!!! i tried to find out, noone could explain...individual sabotage???
yesterday, after 4 weeks of nothingness, the package reappeared anywhere in a hub in LA, being hopefully send back to Bruce Crawford...
We then decide what to do but who will pay for the double shipment?

I just spent an hour at my Fedex/DHL shipping location. The US Government has a totally new system for Customs and Declarations. Also, The price to ship into Europe has almost Tripled.
I shipped a 8 inch by 4 inch by 6 inch very lightweight box into Germany. Value $800. DHL wanted $200 and Fedex was $150. I would say that shipping something the size of a Fuchs wheel would
be $300 plus. I refuse to Use the United States Postal service as the parts will most likely never arrive. The new Customs System will Not let you use a Declared Value LESS than the Insured Value.
I hope this helps. Tate
