Does anyone have experience with using 16" x 6" Fuchs on an early S? The 15" tire selection is getting pretty thin.

FYI, The January 2002 Panorama has an article (page 74) on "Early 911 Wheel and Tire Upgrades". I have not read it through yet but it sounds like it will have the information you need. Juan
None of you early s owners have ever tried 6x16" Fuchs?
I have not tried them but, I have a set of 6 & 7 by 16's with Dunlop SP8000 for sale!!!
I ran the 16's x 6 and 7's on my late 911S (77) narrow body. The fronts with 205/55/16 fit fine, but the 205's are a little wide for a 6" rim. It feels washy. In the rear I ran the same size, but these would rub a little.. The Fender lips were not rolled, and the camber was set at -1.4 degrees I believe. If you rolled the lip you would probably be OK.

It can be done (I get to try it soon, but haven't yet). I am going for 205/50R16, as I have bought a speedo and transmission calibrated for that. To match stock size you need 205/55R16 I think.
