A fine gent here in SoCal has some front bumperettes for the 69-73 cars. The left has the following "L" below that, "W749", below that "901.505.315.20". The other has the same designation except the top letter is "R" and the third number set is "316." OEM or aftermarket. Your expert responses are appreciated with groveling thanks.
Just back from my garage. Retrieved the original front bumperettes from my '72S. When were mine removed? Circa 1976...maybe '77.. Assuming the numbers you gave were moulded in a black plastic part? BINGO!
Thanks, Paul. Yes, it was on a black plastic component. I hope to get some chrome with rubber insert rear bumperettes from him to finally get those black rubber (I'll mince my words) monstrosities off of my '73.
I should tell you I only looked at the one marked "R" of my pair, but sure seems to me you got the real thing. Don't blame you for wanting to rid yourself of the 1973 bumperettes...
